You will have to forgive legendary funny man Tim Allen if he gets a little emotional over his hit television show ending.

The funnyman plays lead character Mike Baxter to perfection in the hit series “Last Man Standing.” The show is currently airing its ninth and final season as it wraps its storylines along with laughs fans have come to expect. The last season of the show began earlier this month and the last episode is just weeks away.

Allen has been a do-it-all comedy actor during his career and fans have come to love his silly antics. He played mistake-prone Tim “The Tool Man” Taylor in the hit show “Home Improvement.” One of his most iconic roles is in “The Santa Clause.” He has also appeared in numerous other comedies and his career of making people laugh spans back a few decades.

Tim Allen admits that Mike Baxter and “Last Man Standing” hold a special place in his heart as he shares much in common with the character. On the show, Baxter is the only male living in a house full of females. The show’s premise is built around Baxter navigating through the obstacles provided by the women in his life.

Tim Allen Readying to Bid Mike Baxter Farewell

The star actor took to social media Wednesday afternoon to showcase some of his favorite Mike Baxter moments. The one minute and 37-seconds long video shows the quick-witted Baxter exercising his sharp tongue.

“What is your favorite Mike Baxter moment,” Allen asks fans in the post.

The video shows clips of some of Baxter’s funniest moments on the show. In one of the clips, Baxter’s friend tells him that “he has a good heart.”

“Nah,” Baxter replies. “I actually physically do not have a heart.”

Tim Allen has been active on social media as of late and has posted several times about how he is going to miss the show. On Tuesday, he put out a tweet saying he will miss the classic Ford Truck residing in Baxter’s garage.

While he is emotional about the show ending, he has his job already in line and it will reunite him with Home Improvement costar Richard Karns. The reality-based competition show is expected to begin airing later this year.
