Tim Allen is teasing tonight’s (April 29) episode of “Last Man Standing” on social media. He shared an image from the forthcoming episode.
According to Allen, viewers don’t want to miss this episode. The actor shared an image of his character Mike Baxter and actor Héctor Elizondo’s Ed. Recent promotional photos have also shown off the two characters interacting. Their friendship may be the focus of the episode as “Last Man Standing” final season wraps to a close.
“Love & Negotiation” will be the 17th of 21 episodes in the show’s final season. “Last Man Standing” should come to a close with an hour finale on May 20th. It’s the finale that the Baxter family deserves after so many years on the air.
Viewers can watch “Last Man Standing” on Fox or its affiliate channels at 9/8 p.m. central tonight. If you have high-speed internet, you can also watch on either Hulu or Sling TV. Both services require a premium service to access their channels. Likewise, viewers can watch the sitcom on Fox Now, assuming they pay for cable service as well. If not, episodes are available on iTunes and Google Play starting at $1.99.
Tim Allen Prepares to Say Goodbye to ‘Last Man Standing’
In a bit of scheduling irony, Tim Allen’s follow-up to “Last Man Standing,” “Assembly Required” has already finished airing its first season. That competition show’s inaugural season wrapped up before his long-running sitcom finished airing.
So unfortunately for Tim Allen fans, there will be a bit of a drought after “Last Man Standing” ends in May. Of course, they can always go back and binge-watch the sitcom or “Assembly Required” as well. Or, they can go even further back and watch “Home Improvement” where Tim Allen started it all. For Allen, it’s been tough to say goodbye to the show. The actor is proud of what they accomplished while missing the Baxter family
“I’ve been one lucky dude to have been part of ‘Last Man Standing,'” Allen said last October. “I so appreciate the incredible support from our fans over this near-decade of work. As we approach the ninth season, I just admire and feel grateful for all the hard work our wonderful cast and crew have done. We had all considered to end the show after last season, but together with FOX, we decided to add a year so we could produce a full season to create the gentle and fun goodbye. I’m looking forward to a memorable and hilarious final season.”
Fortunately, the Baxter family will be riding off into the sunset together. Kaitlyn Dever is returning to “Last Man Standing” for the finale. Sometimes, we say goodbye so we can say hello again.
