Former ‘Law & Order’ star Elisabeth Röhm is beaming about her upcoming nuptials with Peter Glatzer. The two recent as the two ‘look forward to celebrating our love.’
According to People.com, the 48-year-old star plans for her wedding with the film producer and hotel developer. It will be her second marriage. Her marriage with Ron Anthony Wooster ended in 2014.
“We’ve been together for almost a year and look forward to celebrating our love and commitment to each other this winter,” Röhm said.
Though the longtime friends have known each other for several years, Röhm said she had an ‘instant connection’ with her future husband. As the pandemic slowed the world down, the courtship heated up.
“The moment I met Lis four years ago, I felt so drawn to her,” Glatzer told People.com. “Since she was seeing someone at the time, I pursued a friendship. I’m so glad that I did. It’s a great basis for a marriage.”
Glatzer, 57, took his bride-to-be on a Santa Barbara trip recently. The couple found a private spot on a hotel’s rooftop with champagne. He said he “played it cool” before dropping to one knee and popping the question.
“I played it cool while some people left the area (of the hotel’s rooftop),” Glatzer said. Then, when I couldn’t take it anymore, I dropped down on one knee.”

The future couple says they bonded over their shared passion for sustainability and even plan to have a “zero-waste” wedding. Glatzer started a sustainable lifestyle brand called SHFT with Adrian Grenier in 2010. In addition to the brand, Glatzer’s plan to develop sustainable hotels has picked up in the past few years. Röhm related the two share an environmental ethos in addition to their involvement in a few environmental groups.
“We both feel the sustainable imperative strongly, so we bonded over that,” Glatzer said. “We plan to have a sustainable, zero-waste affair celebrating our love in the winter.”
With the couple’s wedding plans now in overdrive, Röhm also has a couple of projects in the can. Her film, Notorious Nick, comes out on Aug. 6. In it, she stars with Kevin Pollak. Following that, Switched Before Birth, a movie she directed for Lifetime, premieres on Oct. 16.
Since her start as an actress in 1997, she’s not slowed down. Röhm’s past television and film work include NCIS, American Hustle, Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous, and Bombshell. She has Screen Actors Guild awards with her roles in Law & Order and American Hustle.
