‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’: Chris Meloni Drops Incredible Selfie While Crashing ‘SVU’ Party

Law & Order: Organized Crime star Chris Meloni just dropped a star-studded selfie with the Law & Order: SVU cast and crew taken at a cast party. Meloni, who now stars in his own show, worked on Law & Order: SVU for over a decade before leaving the show in 2011.

“Crashes an SVU party,” he wrote in an Instagram caption, “It was awesome @therealmariskahargitay was there. Food was great. Ppl were great. The scene was groovy. Etc.”

“What year is this?,” one fan wrote in refrence to Meloni being back with the cast, “I love it here.”

Others were quick to compliment Meloni’s beard.

“Okay but can Elliot keep the facial hair next season please?,” one person said.

Stabler’s definitely going to be back and now with his new show, Law & Order: Organized Crime. Organized Crime just wrapped up its first season. Its second season will be one of three Law & Order series to air on NBC in the upcoming 2021-2022 broadcast season. Meloni has also appeared as Elliot Stabler on Law & Order: SVU this year.

What to Know About Season 2 of ‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’

Law & Order: Organized Crime left viewers with a lot of unanswered questions this season. It’ll presumably keep its Thursday night time slot, and will likely air alongside SVU again. Executive Producer and Law & Order creator Dick Wolf told TV Line that there will be three separate eight-episode arcs with three different villains.

“The first third of the season is The Godfather. The second third is American Gangster. And the last third is Scarface,” he said. “And these villains are going to be really bad guys that give [Detective Elliot Stabler] a constant source of energy, outrage, belief in justice, and a different way of pursuing criminals than we’ve had before.

Law & Order: Organized Crime will also have future crossovers with Law & Order: SVU. The two had some crossover events this year, and fans loved seeing Benson and Stabler reunite after almost ten years.

“We’re now part of an entire night of Law & Order,” executive producer Ilene Chaiken told Entertainment Weekly. “It offers us a lot of opportunities to intersect our stories. There’s no set number, no formula for it. And yes, I learned a lot about the complexities of doing a crossover and doing them successfully.

Fans will have the whole summer to wait for the upcoming season of Law & Order: Organized Crime. In the meantime, they can entertain themselves with Meloni’s selfies with the SVU cast.
