Christopher Meloni, the star of Law & Order: Organized Crime, is known to all as a “zaddy.”

And if you’re not up on the latest pop culture buzz words, a zaddy is an attractive older man with zest and style. He’s a fashion influencer.

Meloni embraces the name. Why not? He recently turned 60 and loves the fact people think he looks good.

But several years ago, when he was between Law & Order dramas, he laughed at people who thought he had fashion sense. In his private life, he didn’t look like the polished future star from Law & Order: Organized Crime.

“That’s a complete falsehood and whoever’s spreading that rumor … I wish I were,” Meloni said during a 2014 interview with the Arizona Republic. “As a matter of fact, I’m going to put that rumor to rest with this: I rely not only on my wife but my 13-year-old daughter.

“I’m not allowed out of the house till my 13-year-old gives me a thumbs up,” Meloni said. “Before I leave the house I go, “This is what I’m packing” — I unzip my bag and show it to my 13-year-old daughter. I don’t shop.”

His unofficial stylist is daughter Sophia, who now is 20. Meloni and his wife, Sherman Williams, have been married for 26 years. They also have a son named Dante.

The Law & Order: Organized Crime star has brought up Sophia’s style in other interviews. In 2017, when Meloni appeared on The View, he said of Sophia:

“Usually it’s the parent that goes ‘no . . . you’re not walking out of the house dressed like that,’ Meloni said. “But it’s my daughter going ‘Dad, let me see. Turn around. Go back upstairs!'”

Law & Order: Organized Crime Star Is Loving Attention

Meloni left Law & Order: SVU in 2011 over a contract dispute. NBC didn’t want to give him the money he asked for, so the network wrote him out of the show. Yet, a decade later, Meloni was back with a spinoff, Law & Order: Organized Crime. And he’s certainly receiving more attention.

He appeared on the August cover of Men’s Health. And he talked at length with the magazine about his career. He also participated in a four-minute workout video. His muscles also are finding newfound fame. He’s known for his toned glutes and muscular arms. Meloni’s glutes became famous when Law & Order: Organized Crime was filming scenes in a New York neighborhood. Someone snapped a photo of Meloni’s backside. And the photo went viral on social media.

He said he loves the attention. He embraces being a “zaddy” and jokes about his glutes.

It’s cool as s–t,” the Law & Order: Organized Crime star told Men’s Health. “The aspect of age comes into play as far as the cover of [this magazine] and how I feel about it. A friend of mine said, ‘Did you ever think in a million years you’d be on the cover of Men’s Health?’ I said, ‘Certainly not at age 60.’”

Law & Order: Organized Crime returns for season two, Sept. 23.
