It’s “Law & Order: Organized Crime” star Dylan McDermott’s world, and we’re just living in it with a new Season 2 tease photo.

Season 2 of the NBC series begins next week with McDermott, acting as bad guy Richard Wheatley.

In his Tweet, a silver globe is posed above McDermott’s head with his enchanting blue eyes there for the world to see.

Christopher Meloni plays good guy Det. Elliot Stabler and we learn from the Episode 1 synopsis that he’s got a challenging task ahead. With Wheatley’s drug empire taken down, Stabler must infiltrate a crime family set on taking over the Big Apple’s cocaine trade.

It makes you wonder if Stabler keeps his cool throughout the first “Law & Order: Organized Crime” episode.

Fans Drawn to McDermott’s ‘Law & Order’ Bad Guy

Dylan McDermott made no secret that fans love his bad guy role on the Law & Order spin-off series.

One fan reacted to McDermott’s recent Twitter post by saying, “I kinda enjoy ruthless Richard Wheatley. But, I’m also excited to see him get taken down. Great job on @lawandordertv

Not that McDermott already had a history of loveable, dynamic roles that fans already love. His “Practice” series went eight seasons.

Reportedly, McDermott’s Season 2 time will consist of eight “Law & Order: Organized Crime” episodes.

“Sometimes these characters come along and they just take over,” McDermott said during a Q&A panel for the show. “And you get out of the way. So, there’s something about this character that’s just so fulfilling for me.”

McDermott said fan reaction to his character is big with him too. He kind of wants to get it right with people hating him.

“And then, of course, the audience is responding because you’re so into it,” McDermott said. “It’s infectious.”

One big question for McDermott’s character is: Will he stay behind bars?

According to Cinema Blend, the actor might not be in jail for “any longer than necessary.”

Maybe it’s part of a plan of revenge on “Law & Order: Organized Crime,” now that he’s got nothing else to do other than sit in jail.

McDermott In Two Shows

While playing bad guy Richard Wheatley, Dylan McDermott is getting back to his “American Horror Story” roots.

McDermott is playing Dr. Ben Harmon again after a 10-year break, according to Entertainment Tonight. He’s in the upcoming “Game Over” episode for “American Horror Stories.”

The actor acknowledged the show had been great to him. He even commented how incredible it was to play that same character after all those years.

“If the layers upon layers are tricky to keep track of, McDermott said.

“I had to keep it simple for myself and play to the reality [of the situation],” he says.

To keep it all straight, it was the third time he’s played Harmon. He took on the role for Season 2, Season 8, and Season 9.
