Ladies and gentlemen, meet Albi, the Albanian Gangster. He’s the newest villain on “Law & Order: Organized Crime” and is played by none other than “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels” star Vinnie Jones. With his involvement in Season 2 of the show officially announced, the English actor took to Twitter and gave his fans a little taste of what’s to come.

We know that Dylan McDermott’s Richard Wheatley will be returning to “Law & Order: Organized Crime” on a big contract. He was the big bad guy for Chris Meloni’s Elliot Stabler to contend with throughout the show’s inaugural season. So we’re not exactly sure where Jones’ Albanian gangster is going to fit in.

What we do know is that his character’s name is Albi Briscu. According to Deadline, Briscu is the final remnant of an old-school European crime syndicate. We also know how he’s going to sound, thanks to a video clip Jones tweeted while thanking his fans for all of their support.

“So it’s out now. I’m on ‘Law & Order,’ playing Albi, the Eastern Albanian,” Jones said, before affecting something resembling his character’s voice and continuing. “So listen to me, make sure that you watch the show. Because there will be some serious repercussions.”

“Looking forward to it,” Jones continued, switching back into his regular voice. “I’ve done a few days already with Chris Meloni. He is absolutely brilliant, absolutely loving it.”

Vinnie Jones’ involvement with “Law & Order: Organized Crime” was announced alongside the addition of Ron Cephas Jones to the cast. And no, there isn’t any relation between the “This Is Us” star and Vinnie, as cool as that would be.

Ron Cephas Jones is joining the show in a very different type of role, that of Congressman Leon Kilbride.

New ‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ Star Vinnie Jones Led a Notorious Career as an English Footballer

Believe it or not, Vinnie Jones was quite the accomplished footballer (soccer player) in England before his career took off. But his demeanor on the pitch has been likened to that of the thuggish characters he went on to play.

Apparently, Jones had a reputation for the chip on his shoulder. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, he made his mark on the English Premier League. He made many marks, rather, leaving most of them on his competitor’s legs. Drawing a comparison to hockey, Jones was what folks would recognize as an enforcer. His role was a physical one, with his presence intimidating star players on the other team.

A compilation of some of the “Law & Order: Organized Crime” actor’s hardest fouls and fights can be seen below.

No wonder his acting career has largely seen him play hardened, cutthroat characters. Vinnie Jones is the perfect fit for an Albanian gangster opposite Elliot Stabler.
