Filming of the new Law & Order: Organized Crime season is underway. Actors have been giving behind-the-scenes looks via social media recently. That includes Chris Meloni, who plays Elliot Stabler on the award-winning show. Throughout the 20+ year run, the show has had, Meloni has been a consistent fixture.
Recently, the Law & Order: Organized Crime star shared a quick photo for fans. The picture, although dark and a little blurry, shows Meloni in the foreground and a group of folks standing behind him on a small set of stairs. The photo comes with the caption, “Hangin with the stoop people in bklyn.” The 60-year-old actor has been sharing plenty of looks behind the scenes in recent days.
Meloni will be back to return as Detective Elliot Stabler. With a bit of a new look, the beard adds a change in aesthetic for Stabler. Perhaps a wiser, more mature Stabler will be in store for fans come the new season. Alongside the rest of the department, the Special Victims Unit is sure to take on exciting and disturbing cases in the new season.
It seems the Law & Order: Organized Crime team has enjoyed their time behind the scenes. There have really been a ton of videos and photos shared from filming. When New York City is your set, there are lots of great scenes and other moments to capture. The city that never sleeps never has a dull moment.
‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ Heads into New Season
All the filming and behind-the-scenes looks are in preparation for Law & Order: Organized Crime season 2. That season will debut on September 21st of this year. All the stars from Ice-T to Mariska Hargitay have shared videos and other pictures. The show has turned the cast into a close-knit group.
For Chris Meloni, the road to Law & Order was long and hard-fought. Throughout his career, Meloni went from small role to small role. Despite being in various short-lived series and other projects, Meloni wasn’t sure if acting could be a long-term career. However, after landing on SVU, Meloni realized that the acting thing just might be for him. Although it took over a decade to get there, clearly the results speak for themselves. No one besides Meloni could play Stabler.
Now, the long-running crime drama is headed for almost a quarter decade on TV. With the show still going strong all these years later, two more seasons is nothing. Fans love the show and continue to support it year in and year out. Cast members have come and gone and some even returned, but the show keeps pushing forward despite it all.
