‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ Star Chris Meloni Hilariously Responds to Co-Star Dylan McDermott’s ‘Captain’ Pic

Law & Order: Organized Crime star Chris Meloni just had a hilarious response for his co-star Dylan McDermott’s new post. The two are about to spend a lot of time together working on the hit series, which aired its first season last year.

McDermott posted a selfie with a cigar to Twitter and captioned it, “The Captain of the EO Ship.”

But Meloni, known for his playful comebacks on Twitter, decided to have some fun.

“Take it easy mess cook richie,” he wrote. Meloni and McDermott play enemies on Law & Order: Organized Crime. But while they’re enemies on the show, all their comebacks are in good fun. The two really enjoy working together.

Dylan McDermot To Return For Season 2

Season 2 of Law & Order: Organized Crime should be great for many reasons. One of which is that Dylan McDermot will return. McDermott masterfully plays Richard, a complex yet incredibly brutal antagonist who works well against Elliot Stabler.

He only signed his contract initially for a single season, but it looks like production and fans alike just can’t get enough. The two characters have a lot in store for next season. Meloni explained what’ll happen between Elliot and Richard next season to Deadline.

“We have an altercation or two, or an interaction or two. You know, our courses must intersect. I think [Wheatley’s] going to get the short end of that deal. A lot of things get answered, but then a couple other big questions arise, so there’s going to be a continuing saga, I believe,” he said.

And producer Dick Wolf has also given fans other reasons to get excited. He mentioned that the season will have three short eight-episode arcs, each focusing on a different villain. But how Richard will factor into the mix is still unclear.

How to Watch ‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’

Law & Order: Organized Crime will come back soon, so here’s how to catch up: You can catch the first season of the show on either Hulu or NBC’s streaming service, Peacock. You can also watch the show if you have subscriptions to youtubeTV or FuboTV.

As far as season 2 goes, Law & Order: Organized Crime will return on NBC on Thursday, September 23rd. Just like last year, it’ll premiere back to back with Law & Order: SVU, where the Elliot Stabler character got his start. Just like last year, production is planning plenty of crossovers between the two shows. Now that COVID-19 isn’t hampering scheduling, crossover events should be easier to pull off.

Dylan McDermott and Chris Meloni have plenty of time to joke around when they aren’t filming, but when acting, it’s all business. It’ll be exciting to see what happens next for their two dueling characters as they’re headed into season 2.
