“The letter is addressed this season and I think [fans are] going to set [their] heads on fire when it happens,” Meloni revealed. “I think there’s going to be a riot.”

He teased that parts of the mystery will be divulged in parts and “doled out to the audience.”

Meloni added, “You’re going to hear what’s in the letter. Maybe not the full and total [letter], but you’re going to get an earful.”

Aside from teasing fans who are patiently (or not so patiently) awaiting the premiere of Law & Order: Organized Crime, he had more to spill. He was part of editing the scripts for the shows. In particular, he helped with Benson and Stabler’s storyline. The reason why he told

“I have an advantage,” he added. “Because I know instinctively what Stabler would say.”

Ron Cephas Jones teased about how incredible the upcoming season will be.

When guest-hosting Entertainment Tonight, he revealed that he was actually a fan of the series.

“I started to watch the first season of Organized Crime with Chris Meloni and I thought it was just amazing. And so to get the call to come back and be involved this season with a nice seven to eight-episode arc [was great]…So far I’ve got a couple of episodes in and it’s just been incredible,” he said.

Jones’ character is Congressman Leon Kilbride. The character is said to be a “born politician who fosters connections and always plays his cards right.”

Meanwhile, Vinnie Jones has also been added to the cast as Albi Briscu. His character is an Eastern European gangster. He is the final member of his family’s old country crime organization.

Season 2 will also bring back a familiar face. Ellen Burstyn, who played Elliot’s mother, Bernadette Stabler, is returning. She will be featured later in the season.

Law & Order: Organized Crime will premiere on NBC on Thursday, September 23 at 10 PM ET.
