Currently on “Law & Order: Organized Crime,” Dylan McDermott’s character Richard Wheatley is in jail. He’s been there since the end of season 1, and fans are wondering when he’s going to come back. All kind of depends of if he can get out of jail, doesn’t it?
While it’s not an official confirmation that Wheatley will be back, TV Line did state that Wheatley’s ex-wife, Angela, will feature “heavily” in season 2. Whether that means Richard Wheatley will be back as well, it’s hard to say. Don’t want to get anyone’s hopes up. But, let’s just say it’s a possibility at this point.
Currently, Richard Wheatley is awaiting trial after being arrested on charges of murder, drug-trafficking, money laundering, and assault. The other charges were dropped, but the murder charge still stands. My guess: he’ll get off scot-free somehow, and then come back for Stabler. He has such a hatred for Stabler, it wouldn’t surprise me if jail doesn’t teach him any lessons at all and just fuels that hatred more.
As for Angela Wheatley, it’ll be interesting to see how big a part she plays in “Law & Order: Organized Crime” now that her ex is imprisoned. She was poisoned at the end of season 1, and we know she lived. We also know she’s the one who had Kathy Stabler killed, in revenge for her son’s death, which she thought was Stabler’s fault. In reality, it was her ex-husband. So, what could the jilted lovers be up to? We’ll have to watch to find out.
‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’: Albanian Arc Almost Over
“Law & Order: Organized Crime” has been running the Albanian crime syndicate arc for almost 7 episodes now. Creator Dick Wolf has previously stated that the season will contain multiple arcs, and it looks like this one is coming to an end soon.
“We’re almost where we need to be to bring them down,” Stabler said in a recent episode. He’s so close to bringing John Kosta and the syndicate down, but he’s also so close to being exposed as an undercover cop. He’s had a few near misses, and fans are getting worried. No doubt he’ll get his guys, but what matters is what happens in the middle of all that.
It’s possible the Wheatley’s could be the center of the second arc in the season. Angela Wheatley is slated to return, and that could potentially mean Richard as well. Wheatley going to jail doesn’t mean there’s not unresolved issues between him and Stabler. Wheatley hates Stabler with all his guts, and will do anything to bring him down. We’ve already seen him go to great lengths to get what he wants; if I were Stabler, I’d be shaking in my boots. Good thing Stabler is as unflappable and stoic as ever.
