“Law & Order: SVU” star Ice-T already had a successful career as a rapper before joining the hit NBC show. How much does he make per episode?
Ice-T, who has played Sergeant Odafin “Fin” Tutoala on “Law & Order: SVU” since 2000, reportedly earns $250,000 per episode according to 2020 data from Celebrity Net Worth.
Now that’s just focusing on the NBC police drama. Ice-T also hosts “In Ice Cold Blood,” which is a true-crime documentary, on the Oxygen channel. He’s been doing that since 2018.
Obviously, his records as a rapper are still available. His total net worth probably is more than if you added up what Ice-T gets per episode. The rapper, though, keeps playing his role as “Fin” on “Law & Order: SVU.”
‘Law & Order: SVU’ Star Has Appeared In Second-Most Episodes To Hargitay
Ice-T has the second-longest-tenure on the first spinoff from Dick Wolf’s “Law & Order” franchise. Mariska Hargitay, who plays Captain Olivia Benson, has been with the show since its first episode. Most of the show’s fans connect her with Christopher Meloni, who played her partner, Detective Elliot Stabler, for 12 seasons before leaving.
Nowadays, Meloni has found his way back into the “Law & Order” franchise business. He returned to “Law & Order: SVU” as a recurring character last season. But he’s busy on his own show, “Law & Order: Organized Crime.”
NBC’s Thursday night schedule will have “Law & Order: SVU” at 9 p.m. Eastern, 8 p.m. Central. “Law & Order: Organized Crime” will air at 10 p.m. Eastern, 9 p.m. Central.
Storyline Around Olivia Benson’s Baby Simply Ignored These Days
There has been a lot of discussion from Hargitay’s character Olivia Benson about motherhood on “Law & Order: SVU.”
One thing, though, that hardly ever gets talked about is the fact that Benson had a baby at one time. Well, she didn’t give birth but she did become the guardian for a baby. Let’s dial the clock back for you Outsiders a bit.
According to an article on Pajiba, Benson was given a baby during a Season 11 episode called “Savior.”
The “Law & Order: SVU” team worked a case where some demented soul leaves prayer cards on murdered bodies of sex workers. But the team finds one woman who survived an attack. She’s pregnant but they get her to testify.
The woman gave birth to a child and handed it over to Benson. She left the baby in Benson’s care and goes away. “Savior” finished with Benson at the hospital and needs to make a decision on the child’s care. Nothing is mentioned about this episode again…or the fact that Benson was a mother for a short period of time.
It’s pretty amazing since “Law & Order: SVU” does a good job of tying up loose ends. Not this time, though.
