In between solving some of TV’s darkest fictional crimes, the “Law & Order: SVU” family got together for a sweet family meal.

With all the people involved in the 22-season-long series, they’re going to need a bigger table.

Mariska Hargitay, or Captain Olivia Benson on the show, posted a sweet family dinner snapshot on Instagram. She captioned it, “So beautiful coming together with these incredible and dedicated souls. So grateful for each and every one of them. We came together to celebrate season 22 of SVU AND we just like hanging out together…..Congratulations y’all.”

The team is celebrating wrapping up season 22 of the longtime crime and drama series.

There’s a lot to celebrate, too. The series is the longest-running primetime U.S. live-action series in the entire history of television. Similarly, Mariska Hargitay holds the record for the longest consecutive years spent on a series. “Law & Order: SVU” has also won 33 rewards during its ongoing successful run.

For Hargitay and the others, 22 years is enough time to build some family-like relationships both on and off the set.

Hargitay and Christopher Meloni at ‘Law & Order: SVU’ Wrap Party

As the team celebrates wrapping up another successful season, they had a party crasher on their hands.

For fans, although the wrap photos are fun and cute, it does mean there’s no “Law & Order: SVU” for a bit. However, even Christopher Meloni dropped by to visit the cast of the series.

He posted a selfie on Instagram captioned, “Crashes an SVU party … It was awesome @therealmariskahargitay was there. Food was great. Ppl were great. The scene was groovy. Etc.”

Although he’s technically a party crasher, he’s certainly no stranger. He co-starred alongside Hargitay on “Law & Order: SVU” from 1999 to 2011. He left the series, as well as the “Law & Order” universe that year. However, now he’s the leader of a brand new spin-off that’s one season deep, “Law & Order: Organized Crime.”

While they were co-stars in the past, the two have been popping up on the screen together recently. For example, Hargitay and her crew appeared in the season finale for “Law & Order: Organized Crime” where it was implied the loyal Captain may be in future danger.

There’s also speculation that the ex-partners and friends may spark something beyond the professional boundary. It’s something some fans yearn for and others are slightly looking down on. Regardless, there’s definitely a potential ship in store for Elliot Stabler and Olivia Benson. “Stabson” seems like a fitting relationship name.

Stabler even told Benson in the April 22 episode of “Law & Order: Organized Crime” three heavy words — “I love you.” It’s a possibility for sure, but the cast and writers aren’t revealing anything yet.
