The Law & Order: SVU Instagram just posted a photo of Carisi (aka Sonny) and Rollins, and fans are swooning. The two finally got to end their “will they won’t they” dance during the season 21 finale of the hit procedural series. The account posted a photo of the two mid-conversation.

“Fireworks came early this year” the caption reads.

Fans gushed about the new couple in the comments.

“STILL so grateful for u to FINALLY BRING THEM TOGETHER,” one fan exclaimed. The two got together at Fin Totula’s wedding after a heartfelt speech from Carisi.

“Thank you NBC for Rollisi, still can’t get over that it finally happened,” someone else wrote.

“Can’t wait to see what’ll happen with these two next season!” another fan wrote. Season 22 of Law & Order: SVU is expected this fall. Fans can also expect a 500th episode to go along with it.

Law & Order: SVU To Be a Part of an Action-Packed Thursday Lineup

Law & Order: SVU has struggled with not having good lead-ins for a while now. Now, it has two other shows in the franchise airing on the same night. It’ll be a three-hour Thursday night Law & Order extravaganza featuring Law & Order: SVU, Law & Order: Organized Crime, and Law & Order: For the Defense.

Law & Order: Organized Crime stars Chris Meloni. Meloni has played detective Elliot stabler for years, first on Law & Order: SVU. Now, he’s back with his own show. It’s going into its second season.

Meanwhile, Law & Order: For the Defense is brand new. Its concept will shed a different light on the criminal justice system within the Law & Order franchise. Who knows, it could potentially even crossover with SVU. Not much else is known about For the Defense, but the executive producer and creator of the franchise Dick Wolf seems very excited.

“This new show is exciting for me personally. We spent the last 30 years on shows that played offense. Now it will be great to play defense, and being able to do it with Carol is an honor and an opportunity for both of us to do television that hasn’t been done before,” Dick Wolf said in a statement.

You’ll have to wait until fall to see new Law & Order: SVU episodes, but there are plenty to binge. You may also want to catch up on Law & Order: Organized Crime. The two shows will definitely cross over more, with producers saying it’ll be much easier scheduling-wise. Both shows suffered from odd filing schedules due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Thankfully, when Law & Order: SVU does return, it’ll come back with a new relationship that fans have been rooting for for a long time.
