“Law & Order: SVU” star Mariska Hargitay may have recently injured her legs, but the actor appears to be in high spirits if a social media post is anything to go by.

Hargitay thanked fans for all their support during this difficult time. But she also couldn’t help but tease her followers as well. Hargitay guest-starred on “Law & Order: Organized Crime” as her long running character Capt. Olivia Benson. The show reunited her with actor Christopher Meloni as Det. Elliot Stabler.

During the premiere of the show, Stabler gave Hargitay a letter. The message wasn’t revealed to viewers during the episode. But Hargitay decided to read the letter to her followers. Or at least, tease them with it. Loud noises blocked out the message before Hargitay jokingly said, “Not to be shared, obviously, it’s super personal.”

Later she fessed up on her prank and apologized to followers, blaming her co-star for being a “bad influence.”

“Was it horrible? Maybe a little,” Hargitay said with a smile. “But come on! I couldn’t really pass it up. I think Chris Meloni is a bad influence on me. Yup. Sorry. But it was funny, right?”

However, fans shouldn’t fret too much. She promised they would eventually learn the contents of the letter. Maybe, there will be another crossover in the show’s future.

Mariska Hargitay Experienced a Leg Injury

Mariska Hargitay has been a mainstay on “Law & Order: SVU” for over two decades now. The actor played Benson for 22 seasons, starting in 1999. Not many actors inhabit a role for that long. But Hargitay somehow made it look easy.

But recently Hargitay experienced a health scare. The actor updated her Instagram revealing a nasty leg injury to her fans. She was wearing a leg brace as a result. This caused many of Hargitay’s followers to send their best wishes and prayers.

“[That feeling when], you go to the doctor, get an MRI and find out that you have a broken knee, a hairline fracture in your ankle, and a torn ligament,” Hargitay wrote. “It’s always a good idea to go to the doctor. Immediately.”

While the injury appeared pretty severe, Hargitay insisted she would make a full recovery. In fact, she said she wouldn’t need surgery for the injury. She also revealed that she didn’t injure her leg at work, but didn’t disclose how the injury happened.
