“Law and Order: Special Victims Unit” star Mariska Hargitay fell and broke her ankle Friday evening. The spill led to a serious injury. However, the star seems to be in good spirits in the post. Hargitay was all smiles as she took to Instagram to thank her fans for all of their well-wishes.
“Thank you for all of your love and support and well-wishes,” Hargitay posted to Instagram Tuesday morning. The message was followed with a smiley “love” emoji and prayer hands.
Accompanying the message of gratitude is a short video. In the video, the actress sports some killer shades and looking like she’s in decent spirits, despite the bum leg.
The injury occurred Friday evening, July 2 in the Hamptons. The “Law and Order” actress reportedly fell and broke her ankle while leaving a screening of the upcoming summer hit “Black Widow.”
According to an Entertainment Tonight report, the injury was so bad that an ambulance was called. The outlet reports that the ambulance then transferred Hargitay to a local Southhampton hospital.

This look is one that Mariska Hargitay is likely starting to get used to.
