Law & Order: SVU once had a surprising crossover event with Chicago PD. Both shows are created by infamous Hollywood producer Dick Wolf. However, one streaming platform can’t show the crossover scene that takes place at the end of the episode.
The episode, titled Comic Perversion has a final scene that’s supposed to serve as a lead-in to a crossover on Chicago PD, but according to IMDb, Netflix doesn’t stream Chicago PD, so they can’t show the clip.
Law & Order: SVU follows a group of detectives as they try to solve sex crimes. The series, which aired in 1999, is heading into its 23rd season. Actress Mariska Hargitay, who plays leading character Olivia Benson, has officially broken the record for how many years an actor has played a character on a show.
Dick Wolf, the creator of Chicago PD and Law & Order: SVU, is also responsible for all the shows in both the Chicago and Law & Order franchises.
‘Law & Order: SVU’ Star Mariska Hargitay Recently Suffered a New Leg Injury
Earlier in the year, Hargitay shared a photo of herself walking out of the hospital with a pretty intense brace on. Unfortunately, her bad luck has continued in the injury department. While at an early screening for Marvel’s Black Widow last week, the star fell and broke her ankle.
Unfortunately, she was already recovering from a leg injury that involved a torn ligament, broken knee, and hairline fracture to her ankle. She’s remained positive about both injuries.
It’s hard to say whether or not this will affect the filming of the 23rd season of Law & Order: SVU, which will feature the show’s jaw-dropping 500th episode. Hopefully, Hargitay will get all the necessary time needed to recover before heading back to set.
Hargitay told a Hilarious Story About How She Met her Co-Star
In a 2014 interview with Inside the Actors Studio, Hargitay talked about how she first met her co-star Chris Meloni. Meloni, who plays Elliot Stabler, had major chemistry with Hargitay on the show. They clearly worked well together.
In the audition room, Hargitay was waiting for some of the actors who were being considered for the role. She knew one of them, and when she saw someone was coming in, she thought it was one of her friends who auditioned for the role. She stood up and opened her arms up for a hug, saying her friend’s last name.
Instead, however, Meloni came in, shouted his own last name, and gave Hargitay a hug. They hadn’t met before.
“I was already standing up, and so we did this huge hug, and we’d never met,” Hargitay said. “He has a huge tattoo of Jesus on the cross, and so I said, ‘Oh my gosh, are you a Christian?’ And he’s like, ‘Um, no.” And I said, “Then why do you have that?’ He goes, ‘Just liked his commitment.’ That sort of sums up Meloni.”
Despite big leg injuries and strange issues with streaming, the show will continue on for season 23 this fall.
