Who is the masked singer? And why could it be country artist LeAnn Rimes?

Since tuning in to the show “The Masked Singer,” fans have been hypothesizing about who the different characters could be. In one week, the season four finale will reveal who the last three contestants on the show are.

A panel of judges is responsible for using clues to identify what celebrity is behind each masked character. Fans and judges vote on their favorite performances and whoever is least popular is unmasked.

These people are dressed like and have the characters of Sun, Crocodile, and Mushroom. Last night, the show put out a holiday sing-a-long.

This Christmas special helped people decide that the Sun character had to be Rimes.

Now with only three contestants to go, Dec.16 will reveal not only the winner but also their identity.

The Christmas special may have helped narrow down who the Sun is. One fan said that “Ok. That is @leannrimes. She sings this song every Christmas!” Not only does the Sun have that distinctive, powerful country voice, but the song choice may have given her away.

Another fan said, “So yeah I guess this Christmas Special #TheMaskedSinger is just gonna help us all know yes indeed the sun is LeAnn Rimes, can’t fool me when you sing about pumpkin pie.”

However, there is no guarantee that the person behind the mask is in fact the country artist LeAnn Rimes.

Possible Other Options for Masked Singer

The Sun said they picked “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” “because I love singing it with my family now.”

Also, the Sun has previously sung “Cuz I Love You” by Lizzo, “Praying” by Kesha, “Piece of My Heart” by Janis Joplin, and “When the Party’s Over” by Billie Eilish.

The panel has guessed that the masked singer could be a number of celebrities including Katharine McPhee, Demi Lovato, Madonna, Mandy Moore, Carrie Underwood, Jewel, Brandii Carlisle, Kate Hudson, Emilia Clarke, and LeAnn Rimes.

As for the other two contestants, who appear to have male voices, the guesses are anyone from Adam Lambert to Donald Glover to Nick Lachey.
