Mark Wahlberg just remembered his late mother with a sweet photo. Simply captioned with a heart emoji, Wahlberg shared the photo on Instagram. Wahlberg often takes to the platform to post updates on his family. Wahlberg’s mother, Alma, died in April this year. When she passed, the actor posted heartfelt tributes. Now, he’s continuing to do so.

People were quick to leave sweet comments about Alma. Alma had a lot of fans on her own thanks to her reality TV appearances.

“I had the pleasure of meeting her once. She was a gem!” one person shared.

“Losing a love one, especially [a] Mom, is painful, may you find comfort in all the great memories that are in your heart for ever. Sending peace and light,” another fan wrote.

Alma was the mother of nine children. Two of her children, Mark and Donnie, have major careers in Hollywood. She made frequent reality TV appearances on the Wahlburgers.

Mark Wahlberg has Kids of his Own

Wahlberg dealt with grieving the loss of a parent while being one himself. The actor has four kids with his wife Rhea Durham: Brendan Wahlberg, Grace Margaret Wahlberg, Ella Rae Wahlberg, and Michael Wahlberg. He recently posted a sweet birthday message to his son, Brendan, who just turned 13.

“Happy B-day buddy! We now have 3 teenagers in the house,” he wrote in a sweet post.

He also recently shared a fun moment with his daughter while she was riding a horse. His youngest, Grace, seems to have an affinity for horseback riding. It’s something Wahlberg seems quite proud of.

Wahlberg has Said Having Daughters Changed Him

Many parents will tell you that the experience of having kids fundamentally changes you. This is true for Mark Wahlberg, who said in previous interviews that having Grace and Ella has made him a better man with a different outlook on women than he had before.

“Having two daughters changed my perspective on a lot of things, and I definitely have a newfound respect for women,” he said in a 2012 interview with Redbook.

“And I think I finally became a good and real man when I had a daughter,” he continued. “Women don’t get the credit they deserve. I was at my daughter’s ballet class and I was on the phone making a business call and watching her on the monitor, and I realized how hard it is to work and be there for your kids.”

Now, Mark Wahlberg continues to make plenty of family-related posts, cheering his kids on. He’s also been busy working on a Kevin Hart project, working out at the gym, and getting plenty of filming done.
