When Mark Wahlberg isn’t busy with the obligations of being a movie star, he’s playing the role of a family man to a tee. The father of four raves about his brood at any opportunity he gets. He frequently keeps fans updated with his home life via social media. Today, he dropped a sweet post with his youngest, Grace. Born in 2010, she’s apparently quite the equestrian already.

So much so that dad’s advice was completely unnecessary. But as a dad, Mark Wahlberg was obviously going to throw his two cents in regardless.

“Trying to give her some advice and a few tips but she doesn’t need it !! She ROCKS❤️😚her and Daisy what a team,” Wahlberg captioned the post.

The heartwarming post finds Wahlberg cheering his daughter on as she trains on horseback. She flashes a smile toward the camera as dad offers what is likely a hilarious piece of advice out of pure pride and support. Wahlberg may know a thing or two about horses, but it seems his daughter has the situation entirely under control.

Horses aside, when Mark Wahlberg began raising two daughters, it changed who he was as a person, and specifically as a man.

“Having two daughters changed my perspective on a lot of things, and I definitely have a newfound respect for women. And I think I finally became a good and real man when I had a daughter. Women don’t get the credit they deserve. I was at my daughter’s ballet class and I was on the phone making a business call and watching her on the monitor, and I realized how hard it is to work and be there for your kids,” Wahlberg told Redbook in 2012.

Mark Wahlberg’s own childhood had its challenges. He was one of nine children in his household growing up, and while his family was loving, they didn’t exactly have much. The nature of his environment and the influences around him led to some poor choices in his youth.

“I wasn’t exactly the man I am today. Growing up, I think I was arrested 20-odd times by the Boston police,” Wahlberg told Redbook.

Now, it’s a completely different story. He resources such that his family will never want for anything. That’s a wonderful situation to be in, but it has its drawbacks. He doesn’t want his kids to take that kind of thing for granted.

“I want to give them all the things I never had but make sure they understand it’s not normal and that it takes hard work to get what you want. You have to provide them with the tools that will make them good people,” he told People.
