Matthew McConaughey did reveal that he has been considering running for governor of Texas. He claimed he has been listening and learning as well as measuring. He has also been studying Texas politics. “What have I learned? A lot. That we have some problems we need to fix. That our politics needs a new purpose. That we have divides that need healing.”

Instead, he is going to continue to work and invest the bounty he has in supporting entrepreneurs, businesses, and foundations that he believes are leaders. “Establishments that I believe are creating pathways for people to succeed in life. Organizations that have a mission to serve and build trust. While also generating prosperity. That’s the American Dream.”
He goes on to add that good politicians can get everyone to where they need to go. But they can’t do anything for everyone unless we support them. He then says cheers to leaders.
