The video features McConaughey’s two youngest children, Vida and Livingston. He and his wife, Camila Alves, also have Levi, their oldest child.

McConaughey and his wife are raising their family in Austin. He’s also a professor at the University of Texas, his alma mater. And he’s embraced everything Longhorn for years. At UT, he’s also known as the Minister of Culture. Pre-pandemic, McConaughey would wear his best, burnt-orange suit and cheer on the Texas football and basketball teams.

Back in April, McConaughey released a video, urging students to be responsible during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“When it’s over, let’s hope we can all look back and say, ‘hey, I acted in a responsible way during the crisis,” he said. “I dealt with this the best that I could.”

Matthew McConaughey Is Doing Remote Tour For His New Book

These days, McConaughey is hyping his book, “Greenlight” on a remote tour. It’s a memoir, covering the actor’s first 50 years. He said though that he would use a ghostwriter, a journalist he’d worked with in past projects. Instead, McConaughey wrote it himself, as he relied on journals he’d been keeping for most of his life.

“I had been threatening, daring myself to go open my treasure chest of diaries for the past 15 years, but never had the courage to do it,” McConaughey told USA Today. “The milestone of hitting 50 was good encouragement.

He said he thought the book initially would be one you’d stick in your pocket, pulling it out for his “wisdom bombs.” But it evolved into a much bigger project.

The book was released last month.
