On Monday, FX dropped the first look at season three of “Mayans MC,” igniting excitement among viewers for the new season.

After the trailer came out, fans have some concerns after seeing one of the main characters in trouble. It appears as if Allesandro Montez (Jacob Vargas) dies after being suffocated.

The SAMCRO Road Captain also appears in the trailer to deliver a warning to an unseen figure.

“One wrong move could start a war,” Montez says.

While the trailer doesn’t clearly show if Montez lives or dies, the clip definitley created concern among the fans.

Montez originally appeared on “Sons of Anarchy” in 2013 and remained on the popular biker-gang show until the finale.

Vargas returned to the role during season two of “Mayans MC” and appeared in multiple episodes.

Fans speculated about whether Montez would return for season three of the show after becoming a regular on the Netflix sitcom “Mr. Iglesias.”

However, after the trailer’s release, it’s obvious he will return at some point in the upcoming season. Though, now fans will have to worry if he will survive the season.

Co-Creator Of ‘Mayans MC’ Acts As Solo Showrunner For New Season

The new season of “Mayans MC” will also mark the first time co-creator Elgin James will direct the series alone.

James took over as showrunner during season two after FX fired fellow co-creator and executive producer Kurt Sutter.

This time, James will direct multiple episodes that will feature several intense storylines and even more violence.

“Ghosts of the past come calling for all of the MC, both individually and as a club; from past loss and loves, to a dead SOA member buried in the Mexican desert,” James told EW during an interview in February.

“This is a season about reckoning, he added. “This is the season we get to know these characters beyond the Kutte. This is the season we tell their stories.”

Fans can catch season three of “Mayans MC” on March 16 and tells the story of Ezekiel “EZ” Reyes, brother Angel, and the other biker gang members.

For fans wanting to catch up on episodes, the first two seasons are available on Hulu.
