With its series premiere on the horizon, “Mayor of Kingstown” actor Jeremy Renner announced that Season 1 production on the show “is a wrap.”

Renner took to his Instagram account to thank his crew and cast with a show poster. The show premiers on Nov. 14 on the Paramount+ network.

Former “Friday Night Lights” actor Kyle Chandler and longtime actress Dianne Wiest will compliment Renner’s Mike McLusky character. Chander plays older brother Mitch McLusky, while Wiest plays mom Miriam. The McLusky family business is about maintaining the for-profit prisons in Kingstown, Mich. Wiest’s character teaches at the Kingstown Women’s prison.

“Yellowstone” creator Taylor Sheridan worked on his show with the idea of corruption and inequality in a small town whose primary business is incarceration. “Yellowstone” actor Hugh Dillon also had a hand in the new show. Reportedly, he co-created the show with Sheridan and works as an executive producer on the show. The show’s fictional town of Kingstown draws similarities to Dillon’s Kingston, Ont. hometown.

When show producers announced 50-year-old Jeremy Renner’s casting in the lead role, the star expressed his excitement to get into the complex part of McLusky.

The actor said McLusky “serves as a flawed system of checks and balances.”

According to TVInsider, the 10-episode season will start after a special simulcast episode of “Yellowstone” Season 4. That series will make its season premiere the week before.

Renner’s Bloody Teaser

In another Instagram posting, Jeremy Renner showed off his bloody appearance from one of the upcoming episodes.

Renner is covered in towels but sprayed with fake blood, probably from a fight or even a show killing we can look forward to seeing.

“My Friday Night can only get better,” Jeremy Renner writes in the Instagram post. “I hope you all have a killer weekend.”

Celebrity friends Josh Brolin and Sharon Stone chime in on the post with support.

New Tattoo for Jeremy Renner?

Not really, but the “Hawkeye” star showed off a Ronin tattoo for the series. Heroic Hollywood, however, was unclear if the tattoo was new or an old one from a former movie like “Avengers Endgame” in 2019.

If that’s the case, maybe Jeremy Renner’s character is returning to the role of an assassin for the Disney+ series. In the movie role, he played Ronin, a vengeful killer who sought the lives of individuals that he thought were unworthy.

Renner On Kelly Clarkson Show

Kelly Clarkson announced that the “Mayor of Kingstown” star would be on her show in November. Jeremy Renner will appear in the studio for the “Kelly Clarkson Show” in University City, Calif., on Nov. 19.

The appearance is days before his Disney+ series “Hawkeye” makes its long-awaited debut. Hailee Steinfeld, Florence Pugh, and Vera Farmiga also star in the show.
