Mess with the (Clint) Eastwood? Lose $6.1 million dollars. At least one Lithuanian-run company found that out the hard way recently. Don’t they know better than to take on the legend that still mounts horses and scares trainers half to death while doing so? As he continues to age, his influence only becomes more profound. I mean, even “SWAT” is taking notes.
Don’t worry, he says he’s not going anywhere any time soon. Still, there is one person who might give Clint Eastwood a run for his money. Actually, they share blood. 27-year-old Graylen Eastwood is already making a name for herself while seeming to follow in her grandfather’s iconic boot prints. Getting to Know Clint Eastwood’s Corral
What’s that thing Vin Diesel said? Something about family? You don’t turn your back on them.
Clint Eastwood’s got a big one, fathering eight children over the years. These offspring also blessed him with an army of grandchildren, several of which continue to pursue a similar path to his own. MSN offered some insight regarding one of these outlaws and the impressive resume she’s built in less than three decades. It’s none other than Graylen Eastwood.
Like her grandfather, Graylen boasts talent in the areas of acting, writing, and producing. She also holds some music cred on top of modeling. Some of her projects to dive into include Masque d’Or, Parzival, and Tom and Garry. Currently, Karin Models represents the 5ft7.5in budding star.
Berklee’s College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts saw her develop as a drummer, though the past couple of years haven’t panned out the way she wanted them to. In an interview from January, she talked to Punk Globe about COVID-19’s impact on the music scene, dubbing this year as “the lost year.” This comes in reference to her ultimate dream to tour and share her music with the world.
Still, the star spent much of the beginning of the year recording, so there’s hope for the release of some music soon.
A Family Affair
Actually, Graylen’s father/Clint Eastwood’s son, Kyle Eastwood, also shares these traits. As a musician himself, his work found its way into some of your favorite Clint Eastwood movies over the years. Pay especially close attention to the soundtracks of Gran Torino and Invictus next time you re-watch them. You can do the same for the likes of The Rookie, Mystic River, Flags of Our Fathers, and Million Dollar Baby.
Graylen caught the music bug pretty early on before she even turned 10. She holds onto one particular core memory of her father’s recording studio in Paris. She recounted the story in a previous interview.
“When I was eight, living in Paris, I remember composing it on the piano while my parents were in the kitchen making dinner. My mom said, ‘That’s beautiful. What are you going to call it?’ To which I replied, ‘Sad Song System.’ And she said, ‘You might want to rethink that title.'”
At the end of the day, her family’s influence is not lost on her.
“They’ve all influenced me! My grandfather’s composing, my father’s love of funk and jazz, my mother, who recorded covers of ‘I Would Die 4 You’ introducing me to Prince, and Lou Reed of Velvet Underground.”
