.Meghan McCain has been an integral part of The View since 2017. She has long been the lone conservative voice on the show. However, she has lately made the decision to move on to greener pastures.

She made the announcement at the beginning of the July 1 episode of the talk show. In that announcement, she didn’t beat around the bush. She said, “I am here to tell all of my wonderful co-hosts and the viewers at home that this is going to my last season here at The View.” She added that she had taken time to think about the decision, prayed over it, and talked to her closest friends and family members.

Before Meghan McCain made the announcement, rumors surfaced that she was leaving the show. However, that isn’t all the rumors said. The anonymous sources stated that McCain had been “miserable,” for her entire time on the show. Most of that misery came from being the only conservative at the table. That led to several heated arguments with her co-hosts. As a result, McCain stayed stressed out. At the same time, she had relocated to Washington DC and ABC films the show in New York. So, she didn’t want to come back to tape episodes of The View.

Last night, Meghan McCain took to Instagram to share a cryptic message. It seems that she is slyly commenting on her decision to leave The View. However, she didn’t expressly state the meaning behind the post. Is she addressing the decision? Check out the post below and see what you think.

The photo shows a grey background full of faded and illegible text. Over that, the words, “No risk, no story.” are in bold black type. Meghan McCain added to the message with a short caption. She wrote, “No guts, no glory.”

Meghan McCain Guts and Glory

It definitely takes guts to step away from a position like The View. Meghan McCain was part of one of the most-watched talk shows on television for four years. It also took guts for McCain to join the show. After all, she went into the gig knowing that she was the only conservative at the table. No matter what side of the aisle you’re on, willingly going into a discussion knowing you’re outnumbered takes some moxie. Willingly doing that five days a week is a whole new level of guts.

Right now, it is unclear what is next for Meghan McCain. However, she has a long history as a TV personality, political analyst, and author. So, you can bet that we’ll be seeing more of her in the near future.
