Michael Landon was the beloved actor known for his iconic roles in shows like “Bonanza” and “Little House on the Prairie.” Sadly, pancreatic cancer took Landon too soon after he died at the early age of 54 in July of 1991.

In light of the tragedy, his memory and legacy lives on through his nine biological and adopted children. Fans of the late actor have the opportunity to see his youngest daughter, Jennifer, follow in her father’s footsteps as an actor herself on the popular series “Yellowstone.”

Before his death, Landon and his third wife, Cindy, married in 1983 and welcomed two children together. Landon was 47-years-old when his daughter, Jennifer was born on August 29, 1983. Their son, Sean, was born three years later, on August 5, 1986.

As a child, she landed her first acting job at the age of five. Michael Landon casted her in the final episodes of “Highway to Heaven.” She would get the opportunity to act with him once more before he died.

Landon casted her as Jennifer Kramer in the pilot for his series, “Us.” The show never aired as Landon passed away the same year it was supposed to premiere.

Before landing her role on “Yellowstone,” Jennifer appeared in shows like “Days of Our Lives,” and “The Young and the Restless.” Her work on soap operas earned her three consecutive Daytime Emmy Awards for “Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series.”

Jennifer also stars as Teeter in season three of “Yellowstone” which follows the Dutton family as they protect their land.

Not a day goes by that Jennifer doesn’t think of her father. According to Jennifer, she tries to catch reruns of his shows as a way to stay close to him. “If ‘Little House on the Prairie’ is on and I’m somewhere and I catch it. I’ll watch it for a bit,” Jennifer told Smashing Interviews. “It makes me feel very good.”
