Miley Cyrus Mourns Mary Jane, “A Dog with Wings”
Cyrus’ heartbreaking tribute to Mary Jane is a poignant, extensive tribute to her precious dog. As many pet owners will understand, the pitbull was “something more than a friend or family member” to Miley. “Something so different. You can’t define it.”
“She was a dog with wings in a way,” she continues. “I thanked her repeatedly as she took her last breath for who and what she was/been to me.”
“Our connection was purely DIVINE. An incomparable love,” the star continues. “We’ve never said hurtful things we didn’t mean to each other. Never have we fought and went to bed angry. Not once has our loyalty wavered.” Moreover, Cyrus will deeply miss having her best friend there during times of heartache.
“She came to my rescue every time my heart has broken. Put me back together again,” she laments. “Going thru this pain without her magic power is so lonely.”
“If only we were all more like Mary Jane”
For dog lover Miley Cyrus, Mary Jane’s suffering was a chance for her to repay the loving pup for all she had done for her. Her care for M.J. the past year was, in a way, how she could give back for a dog’s unconditional care and support.
“She is no longer hurting but I am. That’s what love is,” she says. “Mary Jane passed with grace, diginity, peace & power. She lived by the golden rule of kindness and compassion toward all. She was strong when she needed to be but never for too long.”
Speaking on the pitbull’s personality, Cyrus adds that “she would never let her soul close. She lived so open. To love and be loved. If only we were all more like Mary Jane.”
“I’m so lucky you were mine,” she ends, before sharing several photos of her best friend.
