Miley Cyrus Pre-Game Performance
Miley Cyrus took the stage before the Super Bowl for the TikTok Tailgate. She started her performance with “Hey, Micky,” but substituted it for “Hey, Miley” instead.
Cyrus then performed “Prisoner” off her new album, “Plastic Hearts.” Billy Idol joined her onstage for their duet, “Night Crawling” and his hit, “White Wedding.” Cyrus also performed “Heart of Glass,” which is a cover she did in the past that went viral and helped influence her new album. She also performed “Head Like a Hole” by the Nine-Inch Nails and “Jolene” by Dolly Parton.
She gave her godmother Dolly Parton a shoutout by saying, “If you can’t tell that we’re related, rhinestones run in the family.”
Joan Jett joined her for “Bad Karma,” “Bad Reputation,” and “I Hate Myself for Loving You.”
During her performance, she gave a shoutout to the doctors and nurses present at the Super Bowl. She said, according to PopCulture, “It’s my honor to perform for you, and a dedication of a song can never repay you for a service.”
All in all, fans were blown away by the rocker’s Super Bowl performance. She then treated her fans to a behind-the-scenes of what went into preparing for her rock star performance. It was also a look into Cyrus’ fun personality off-stage.
Miley Cyrus posted a video on Instagram of her dancing in her Super Bowl outfit. She says, “You know you’re my one and only.” The caption is “PRE SHOW VIDEO I SEND TO EVERY BOY I KNOW.”
She fluffs her blonde bullet while taking a selfie. Saweetie’s “My Type” is playing in the background.
In a previous tweet, according to Billboard, Cyrus shared just how much she loves being single with a throwback “Hannah Montana” clip. It was captioned, “Man. Being single sucks. All I ever do is WHATEVER THE F–K I WANT! Bahabahahahahabahahhahaha!”
Miley Cyrus released her album “Plastic Hearts” in November 2020. This is her first live performance in about a year.
The album is Cyrus’ entrance into more rock-style music. It debuted as No. 2 on the U.S. Billboard 200. She released “Midnight Sky” and “Prisoner” as singles before the album release. Billy Idol, Dua Lipa, Joan Jett, and Stevie Nicks are all featured on the album.
“This is my first show in about a year, and I could not imagine a better way than here in Tampa surrounded by all these healthcare heroes. I hope I can have more like these [concerts]. And that dream will only be a reality because of people like yourselves…Our gratitude toward you is infinite,” Cyrus said to Elle.
