National Geographic Unveils Complete Schedule for 2021-2022 TV Season

The 2021-2022 television season on National Geographic promises to be an interesting one thanks to the return of popular shows and the addition of new ones.

According to Variety.com, the network’s Content President Courteney Monroe announced the upcoming schedule during a presentation on Tuesday (May 18). Monroe confirmed that some fan-favorite shows will be returning. These include “Life Below Zero,” “The Incredible Dr. Pol,” and “Secrets of the Zoo.”

Another highlight of the upcoming season is that country music star Garth Brooks is narrating a new series. This show is titled “National Parks.” It is taking an in-depth look at the national parks in the United States. Brooks will narrate the program.

One of the most anticipated new projects coming to the National Geographic network is the limited series “The Hot Zone: Anthrax.” That name might sound familiar to some. That’s because the network previously aired a show titled “The Hot Zone.” The new series will debut on Nov. 28. It will tell the story of the anthrax letters that were sent in America after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. It stars Daniel Dae Kim and Tony Goldwyn.

Other new series coming to Nat Geo include “Brain Games on the Road,” “Into the Unknown,” “Called To The Wild,” and “The ’80s: Top Ten.”

So, what shows are returning to National Geographic for 2021-2022?

One of the returning shows features famous chef Gordon Ramsey. This show is “Gordon Ramsey: Uncharted.” It will be in its fourth season. The show follows Ramsey on his wild travels around the world.

Another returning show is “Life Below Zero.” This will be its 15th season. Its spinoffs, “LBZ: Next Generation” and “LBZ: Port Protection” are also coming back. “Next Generation” will be in its second season. “Port Protection” will be in its fourth.

Let’s not forget the popular show “Running Wild With Bear Grylls.” It will be coming back to National Geographic for its third season. In this popular show Grylls, who is a famous survivalist, takes famous people out into nature and exposes them to things they probably never would have done otherwise.

One of the most serious shows on the network is also coming back during the 2021-2022 season. This show is “Trafficked With Mariana Van Zeller.” In this show, journalist Mariana Van Zeller shows viewers the scary world of black markets and global trafficking. These black markets deal in drugs, stolen goods, and more.

“Wicked Tuna” and its spinoff, “Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks,” will also air this season. The original show will be in its 11th season. The spinoff has been renewed for both its eighth and ninth seasons.
