Since there isn’t a new NCIS episode Monday night, we’re going to give you details about some upcoming shows to help fill the void.
CBS lists two remaining episodes for NCIS for the fall. Your favorite show returns on Nov. 29, so you’ll have to get through Thanksgiving week madness. Think of it as your personal Cyber Monday present. That episode is called Peacekeeper. We’ll get to that one later in the story.
Then on Dec. 6, CBS gives NCIS fans with a bizarre, but tantalizing, plot. Writers called the episode Collective Memory. And the description? “When a hotshot financial advisor is found shot at a naval station, NCIS investigates the case by interviewing the victim’s three-dimensional hologram of herself, which she created before her death.”
Did you catch that detail? Investigators will interview the hologram of a dead woman. We’re now imagining Alden Parker really getting into this assignment, considering how much he loves technology.
This ‘NCIS’ Episode Features Star of 1980s-Era Crime Drama
There’s also an interesting guest star in the mix. Stepfanie Kramer portrays Sandra Holdren. Fans of crime shows probably will recognize her face. She played Sgt Dee Dee McCall on the 1980s-era Hunter. That’s the show featuring Fred Dryer, the former defensive star for the Los Angeles Rams. The series ran from 1984 until 1991. And it spawned several reunion movies as well as a reboot.
Getting back to the NCIS episode specifics, it appears the murdered body is found in a bed of leaves. That’s where Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen) was on the scene to inspect the body.
The next new NCIS episode is called Peacekeeper. And it should be a special hour for long-time fans. That’s because Rocky Carroll, who plays director Leon Vance, is directing the episode. It’s his 17th NCIS directing assignment and second of the fall season.
Here’s what CBS tells us about the episode: “NCIS investigates the case of a Navy reservist whose body is found in a beat-up car at the end of a gun range. Also, Kasie weighs the pros and cons of buying a gun.”
NCIS took off a chunk of November. The last new episode was back on Nov. 8. Patricia Richardson, who starred in the 1990-era comedy Home Improvement, played McGee’s mother-in-law, Judy Fielding. The episode also featured an appearance by McGee’s wife.
Judy kept her daughter and son-in-law in the dark about her very active social life. Judy lied about being at home when she really was on a cruise ship. That’s where Richardson discovered a body in the ship’s sauna. Coincidentally, she had been enjoying a Love Boat kind of fling with the man.
