‘NCIS’ Alum Emily Wickersham Drops New Beach Pic Following Recent Pregnancy Announcement

Former NCIS star Emily Wickersham just posted an awesome new beach picture following her recent pregnancy announcement. The actress played Special Agent Ellie Bishop on NCIS before leaving last year, shocking fans. To this date, Wickersham has not announced any particular reason why she left the hit drama. But now, she’s growing her family and exploring a new future.

The pretty picture, which the former NCIS star simply captioned “into the mystic” shows a couple walking on the beach in the fog.

Fans, as they do with every picture of hers, were quick to comment their praises.

“Amazing pic, love this poetic atmosphere !” one person wrote.

“Beautiful picture,” another person wrote. “Take care of yourself.”

The Actress Announced Her Pregnancy In a Simple Poolside Post

Like the NCIS actress has done with a lot of major life updates, Wickersham announced her pregnancy over Instagram. The actress posted a photo of herself, visibly pregnant, hanging out by the pool.

“my mom taking a photo of a future mom with a baby boy on the way!” the actress wrote.

Fans and friends are thrilled for the actress, who’s been hiding her baby bump in pictures successfully for quite some time. Wickersham didn’t announce any specific due date. Some fans have speculated that her pregnancy could be a part of the reason she left the show, but nobody can no for certain.

Regardless, it’s clear the decision was tough for Wickersham, who wrote about just how grateful she was for the cast and crew when she officially announced her departure.

“This cast, this crew, are top-notch,” Wickersham wrote on Instagram. “I can’t say enough kind words about this group that I’ve had the pleasure of working with for close to 8 years now and 172 episodes later.” Wickersham also explained that she had a ton of fun while working with the cast.

“I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of a show where I got to show up and act and laugh and learn with wonderful people. A moment in time I surely won’t forget,” she continued.

The show will certainly feel different without Wickersham, and she’s not the only person whose eyed a departure from the show recently.

‘NCIS’ Lead Mark Harmon Reportedly Wanted to Leave the Show as Well

Special Agent Gibbs actor Mark Harmon has also reportedly eyed leaving the show. Apparently, the actor wanted to leave after season 18, but CBS convinced him to stay on for at least another year. Still, Harmon will only appear in a handful of episodes next season.

It’s hard to say what the future of NCIS would look like without Harmon. Mark Harmon has been the face of the show to many, and how, or if the show could recover from a loss like that is yet to be determined. But it’s clear CBS still wants him around. It makes sense, considering the show is the highest-rated scripted drama in the world.

You can catch NCIS season 19 on Monday, September 20th at 9pm.
