Fans of “NCIS” will remember Zoe McLellan for her performance on “NCIS: New Orleans.” And the diehards may very well remember her appearances on the original “NCIS” during the same year of the “New Orleans” premiere.

McLellan appeared on both shows as Special Agent Meredith Brody. She was on the team in New Orleans for two years before she had to resign because her boyfriend was discovered to be an informant. From 2014 to 2016, McLellan appeared in 47 episodes of “NCIS: New Orleans” and three episodes of “NCIS” as Meredith Brody.

In an interview at the Monte Carlo Television Festival in 2018, McLellan talked about her favorite part of working on “NCIS: New Orleans.”

“The people I work with. Absolutely. The cast and crew. It’s just a very heart-based show,” McLellan said. “Everyone there is really proud of what they’re doing. And the fact that we shoot in the South, there’s a very homey feel to it. It’s very down to earth. And so I just like all the heart in our production. It’s very real. And we laugh a lot.”

Zoe McLellan’s Career Before ‘NCIS’

Zoe McLellan has been acting consistently since the mid-1990s. Her first big role came in the movie “Inventing the Abbots,” which starred Joaquin Phoenix and Liv Tyler.

From there, the “NCIS” star appeared in a series of TV shows and landed some small roles in movies before her big break. In 2001, she landed a role on the hit show “JAG.” Which many may not know was the source material for “NCIS” itself. From 2001 to 2004, Zoe McLellan played Legalman First Class Jennifer Coates. That makes her character on “NCIS” the second she has played in the same TV universe.

After “JAG,” she went on to star in the short-lived show “Dirty Sexy Money” as Lisa George. Next, she played a series of one-off characters on episodes of “House,” “The Mentalist,” “Royal Pains,” and “The Whole Truth.” Those roles brought her all the way to her 2014 appearance on “NCIS.”

Since her time on “NCIS” and “NCIS: New Orleans,” she has appeared in “Law & Order: SVU,” “Suits,” and “Designated Survivor.”

These days, however, she’s been making headlines for reasons way beyond acting.

Zoe McLellan is Currently a Wanted Woman

The past few years have seen Zoe McLellan in a pitched custody battle with her ex-husband, J.P. Gillian. The back and forth ordeal has reportedly resulted in McLellan disappearing with the former couple’s son, Sebastian.

Since McLellan didn’t have court-ordered custody of Sebastian, a warrant was issued for her arrest by L.A. County in May. Apparently, Gillian hasn’t seen McLellan or Sebastian in over two years.

The former “NCIS” actress hasn’t acted in anything since around that time either, and, according to Gillian’s lawyers, McLellan is on the run.
