‘NCIS’ Bishop Actor Emily Wickersham Stuns in New Poolside ‘Summer Sunday’ Pic

NCIS star Emily Wickersham is going to spend this summer out here living her best life.

NCIS fans recently found out that the show would be moving forward without one of its stars in Emily Wickersham. She is without a doubt one of the show’s most-tenured actors. However, she is walking away at the end of this season, the show’s 18th altogether.

Wickersham had played NSA Analyst Elanor “Ellie” Bishop on the show for the past eight years. For those who don’t know, NCIS focuses on a fictional team of special agents from the Naval Criminal Investigative Service.

Many were left to wonder what, exactly, Emily Wickersham had in store for the next stage of her life after NCIS. And although we aren’t quite sure what her professional plans may be, she seems more than content to live in the moment and soak up some summer sun. Her latest Instagram post captures that mindset perfectly.

“Summer Sunday’s,” Wickersham captioned her most recent pic.

Even though most NCIS fans were loving the star’s newest Instagram post, others are using their voice to call for Wickersham to come back to the show.

“Hot girl summer vibes 🙌🥰❤️☀️” one fan commented.

“Come back to NCIS PLEEEEEEASE 😢” another user pleaded.

And finally, it appears that one fan wants to be happy seeing Wickersham’s latest post. But knowing she won’t be back on the show is just too much.

“I WISH I COULD BE HAPPY,” they wrote in the comments.

Emily Wickersham Announces Her ‘NCIS’ Farewell

NCIS fans have now had more than a week to chew on the news that they will no longer be seeing Agent Bishop on the show. Wickersham officially announced that she was leaving in an Instagram post. She thanks her cast and crew, along with the fans, for her time on the show.

“Hanging this hat and jacket up,” Wickersham announced on Instagram. “What a great ride it’s been. This cast, this crew are top-notch. I can’t say enough kind words about this group that I’ve had the pleasure of working with for close to 8 years now and 172 episodes later. This business is finicky and weird and consistency is a rarity.”

We will all have to wait and see what is in store next for Emily Wickersham. But make no mistake about it, she thoroughly enjoyed and cherished her time on the set of the popular crime television show.

“I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of a show where I got to show up and act and laugh and learn with wonderful people. A moment in time I surely won’t forget,” Wickersham said. “Thank you CBS and NCIS for including me in a part of television history Time goes Fast. Eat it up but chew slowly.”
