Brian Dietzen dropped a big plot point for Monday’s new NCIS episode. Dr. Jimmy Palmer knows what’s up.

And he revealed who might be the biggest focus of the NCIS episode called False Start. According to CBS, tonight’s hour will be about how “NCIS investigates the death of a beloved Navy commander who trained some of the top athletes in the country.”

But according to Dietzen’s post on Instagram, here’s what False Start concerns: “Spoiler alert (siren emojis). Jimmy examines a dead body tonight!

“Also, our guy Torres has a moving story. He experiences personal growth, and shows real character while trying his best to help someone who needs it. It’s simply one man, making the world a better place.

“I should have led with the Torres part… New NCIS tonight! 9pm (Eastern).”

So What’s Up with NCIS and Torres?

Through the first five episodes of NCIS season 19, Torres hasn’t been at the forefront. And that’s probably not cool for those who love Wilmer Valderrama as Nick Torres.

The character is trying to get over the exit of Ellie Bishop (Emily Wickersham). Bishop trashed her NCIS reputation in the season 18 finale, as she appeared to have leaked highly-confidential national security documents. Torres figured out what was up and tracked her down. The two kissed, then she left for a deep undercover assignment with the CIA. And Wickersham, who announced her pregnancy this summer, left the show after the finale.

Then as NCIS season 19 opened, Torres dealt with losing Gibbs (Mark Harmon). Gibbs opted to end his NCIS career and stay in Alaska during an episode last month. Gibbs was a mentor to everyone. And Torres looked up to him. In a flashback during the episode Great Wide Open, Torres took Gibbs to the airport for his Alaskan trip.

Valderrama also hyped Monday’s episode on social media. But he went further than Dietzen because he actually posted a video clip, as opposed to a tease. He captioned the clip “Tonight It’s personal for Torres.”

In the clip, Torres is trying to calm one of the Navy commander’s trainees. He tells him to breathe.

“I get what you’re going through,” Torres says. The trainee responds, “Doubt that.”

Then Torres asks him, “Coach was family, right. …Well, I just lost some family too.”

When the other man asks “What did you do?” Torres tells him: “I channeled my emotions into something positive.”

Perhaps Torres is talking about Gibbs. Maybe he’s drifting back to the heartbreak he felt when Bishop left. She changed her cell number and didn’t even let him know. Dietzen’s Palmer had to tell him.
