During a November 2019 interview, NCIS actor Wilmer Valderrama opened up about performing his own stunts. That is all of them except one particular type of stunt, which he refrains from out of the love he has for one of his family members.

Many fans of Valderrama know him as the foreign exchange student Fez from That ’70s Show. The actor has branched out from his comedy days though and transitioned to the action-packed crime drama NCIS. Valderrama joined the cast four seasons ago during Season 14 as Nicholas “Nick” Torres. Since then, he’s had to get used to a much more active routine on-set than when on the comedy series.

Since his character is often chasing down criminals, Valderrama deals with various stunts on a regular basis. While the actor may not have had many stunts on That ’70s Show, it’s a whole different ball game on his current show.

He joined the Today show in 2019 to discuss his NCIS role and acting career. While speaking in the interview, he admitted there is one type of stunt he simply won’t go near. For the love of his dear mother, when he films his part as Nick Torres, Valderrama refuses to do his own motorcycle stunts.

“I enjoy doing [stunts],” Wilmer Valderrama said to Today. “I’m the only knucklehead over there like ‘Put me in coach, put me in!’ I try to do as much as I can. The only thing I don’t do is motorcycle stuff because it really scares my mom, and I watch the shows with my mom on Tuesday nights. So I don’t want her to do this [hides face]. But yeah I love doing my own stunts. I’ve been doing mixed martial arts for a long time. I enjoy getting sweaty on set.”

‘NCIS’ Star Shared That the Season 18 Finale Would Be ‘Really Unpredictable’

A few weeks ago, NCIS wrapped up its 18th season of the CBS crime drama. Previous to it airing, actor Wilmer Valderrama shared some exciting details about the finale.

He didn’t let on too much since no one wants to hear any spoilers. Yet Valderrama did open up about his story line involving his character Special Agent Nick Torres’ estranged father. While speaking with TVLine in April, the actor shared details about his “mysterious” dad.

“We didn’t really know much, because Torres doesn’t really offer much up about his personal life. [Laughs] He doesn’t open the door on what journey he lived before he got to NCIS… His identity is a little mysterious, right? And that has been on purpose, by design,” Valderrama told TVLine.

In addition, Valderrama also revealed that fans will get to know more about Torres and his back story. The episode will dug much deeper into his character like many have hoped for.

“But in this episode, we’re going to unravel way more than Torres is going to be comfortable with!” Valderrama added. “You’re going to learn more about where he came from, what type of life he led when he was a kid, how he became the man he is today. What’s exciting about this episode is it pulls back layers and layers of subtext that for years now the fans have been asking about.”

When asked about the Tuesday, May 25th season finale, Valderrama didn’t hold back when hyping it up. He promised fans that they’re in for a treat as NCIS brought Season 18 to a close.

“I mean, we’re going to give people a lot to talk about,” he said of the finale. “I’m not one to do the ‘You have to wait and see!’ hype, but man, this episode is really unpredictable. I promise you that you’re not going to see any of this coming.”
