‘NCIS’ Adds Gary Cole to the Cast

As previously reported, Gary Cole was cast on NCIS as FBI Special Agent Alden Parker. The character made its debut at the beginning of the long-running crime series’ 19th season.

In a statement, NCIS Executive Producer and Showrunner, Steven D. Binder revealed, that the addition of Cole and Katrina Law to the cast is making the latest season one of the best seasons yet. “Going into season 19, we are excited to have new characters and stories to tell that adds to  and reenergizes the world we’ve come to love over the 400+ episodes.”

Cole and Law joined the NCIS cast, which has Sean Murray, Wilmer Valderrama, and Brian Dietzen. Most recently, long-time castmate Mark Harmon, who played Leroy Jethro Gibbs, departed from the series. This opened up a chance for Cole’s character to take on the role as the leader of the NCIS team.

How Have ‘NCIS’ Fans React to the Addition of Gary Cole?

Meanwhile, NCIS fans have taken to social media to share their thoughts about Cole’s character. One fan stated on Twitter, “If Gibbs HAS to be replaced, I think Gary Cole is an excellent choice, really liking him so far.”

Another fan is also accepting Cole by writing, “Really like this season so far. Would have preferred McGee to take over but I’m ok with Parker. Gibbs earned his peace. Wish he would have mentioned Tony when he said how much he trusted Mc Gee all the years. But good ending for Gibbs.”
