“NCIS” fans have spent the summer gearing up for new premieres of the original “NCIS” and its long-running spin-off “NCIS: Los Angeles.” However, this year, the franchise premieres its latest spin-off, “NCIS: Hawai’i.” So far, fans have been approaching the new series with impatient trepidation. Part of what makes fans nervous about the new show is the character dynamics.

Overall, they are concerned with how it will compare to the beloved Special Agent Gibbs and his team. However, thanks to one “NCIS” executive producer, we get a taste of what to expect from Special Agent In Charge, Jane Tennant.

Per TVInsider, “NCIS: Hawai’i” executive producer, Christopher Silber, said, “[Tennant and her team] are like a family.” While the sentiment promises close relationships and interactions among the team, it’s no surprise as both the “NCIS” franchise’s current series put a heavy emphasis on that value.

Although, Silber continued, “Sometimes there’s going to be arguing and bickering. [But] Jane sets a high bar and everyone falls in line.”

Are we sure she’s not related to Agent Gibbs? Because as longtime “NCIS” fans recall, Gibbs and his team function in very much the same way. Lots of love and bickering and even more professional dedication. Either way, the premiere of “NCIS: Hawai’i” will be interesting. After all, it’s the first time the franchise features a female in the role of Special Agent in Charge.

Regardless, however, of how the team functions, “NCIS” fans are surely just anxious to see how the show compares to the original “NCIS.”

Fans Share Excitement as the ‘NCIS: Hawai’i’ Premiere Nears

“NCIS” fans have a few more weeks to ponder possibilities for the franchise’s new spin-off, “NCIS: Hawai’i.”

Graciously though, a tropically-based fan shared some unfocused photos from a shoot in Kahal, HI.

Viewers can’t exactly decipher which individuals are which characters. However, the photos, shared on Reddit, received a lot of feedback and speculation. The first captures the overall set at, presumably, one of the state’s many tropical resorts. The second is a blurry snap of cast members and producers. The only thing singling out the cast as “NCIS” is the recognizable logo on the back of one individual’s jacket.

Several fans shared hopes that two of the characters were “NCIS” fan-favorites, Tony and Ziva. However, other, more reasonable thinkers said Tony actor Michael Weatherly shoots his show in New York so his appearance on the tropical island is unlikely. They further shared the woman the Redditor thought to be Ziva is probably “NCIS: Hawai’i” lead, Vanessa Lachey.

And speaking of which, Lachey previously shared that while people across the globe recognize the state for its blue waters and beautiful scenery, she is most excited to capture the essence of the Hawaiin people. And since we have an entire “NCIS” series dedicated to the tropical location, I’m sure fans will begin learning things about the state they never knew before.
