‘NCIS: Hawai’i’ Posts Special ‘Welcome’ Message to Newest Cast Member

The all-new NCIS: Hawai’i is building up its cast. With three promising actors already on the team, the show just welcomed in a fourth, Noah Mills.

“Welcome @noahmills to NCIS Hawai’i as Detective Jesse #ncishawaii,” the caption says.

NCIS: Hawai’i was ordered by CBS in April, but they’re moving right along by adding Noah Mills and other actors to the cast. CBS also renewed NCIS: Los Angeles at that time. Unfortunately, NCIS: New Orleans didn’t get so lucky and is ending its run.

Noah Mills is an actor and model perhaps best known for his most recent work on The Falcon and the Winter Solider, a series on streaming service Disney+. He’s also played roles in Sex and The City 2, The Brave and The Enemy Within. His modeling earned him a spot on Vogue’s Top 10 Male Models of All Time list in 2014.

According to Variety, Mills will play Jesse, “a former big-city homicide detective who’s settled in a new life in Hawai‘i.”

Even though Mills is an incredible interrogator whose very familiar with high-profile police work, he’s also a “family man” who loves hiking and camping, especially because he helps his kid with 4-H camping trips. Jesse’s character has also worked with the leading character, Jane Tennant, the longest. He is her confidant and right-hand man.

Mills To Join an Impressive Cast on ‘NCIS: Hawai’i’

Mills Joins Vanessa Lachey, Jason Antoon, and Yasmine Al-Bustami on the NCIS: Hawai’i cast. Four people would still be a fairly small team for NCIS standards, so more casting announcements are definitely still in the cards.

Lachey plays the leading role, Jane Tennant. Tennant’s character sounds fairly similar to Jesse’s. She’s also a highly experienced detective who also values her family. Jane Tennant marks the first leading female character on an NCIS series.

Al-Bustami will play the rookie of the group, Lucy. Lucy has an eager attitude and won’t be afraid to challenge the bureaucracy she faces on her quest for truth. Antoon will play Ernie, the team’s cyber intelligence specialist who loves all things Hawai’i.

With descriptions for Jane, Lucy, Ernie, and Jesse, a picture of what NCIS: Hawai’i will look like is starting to form. The show is slated to air during CBS’s 2021-2022 season. On top of NCIS: Hawaii, the NCIS flagship will continue with a season 19, and NCIS: Los Angeles will air its 14th season.
