Vanessa Lachey’s New Role on ‘NCIS: Hawai’i’

Vanessa Lachey is currently working on the production of the NCIS spin-off, NCIS: Hawai’i. As previously reported, the upcoming series will follow the first female Special Agent in charge NCIS Pearl Harbor, Jane Tennant. Lachey is playing the role of Tennant and her team will investigate high-stake crimes with military personnel. In addition to the national security and mysteries of the island state itself. This is the first NCIS series to have a female lead.

Vanessa recently spoke about her new role by stating, “Honored is an understatement! To join the NCIS franchise as the first female lead and to do it on the Beautiful Islands of Hawai’i…I still can’t believe it! Thank You CBS for believing in me! Now let’s get to work! #NCISHawaii.”

Vanessa further explains, “I’m excited to bring a different layer to this role and hopefully inspire this next generation of young girls and women. My character Jane Tennant is the special agent in charge of NCIS. She’s a mother of a 15-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl, and that is real life: juggling life, and love, and work.”

Vanessa Lachey previously appeared on various TV shows throughout the years, including That’s Life, City Girls, 30 Rock, and Hawaii Five-O. Lachey currently has a recurring role on the CBS series Call Me Kat. She was a correspondent for Entertainment Tonight and hosted Total Request Live on MTV.
