NCIS: Hawai’i star Vanessa Lachey just dropped another photo while filming the show. The actress and her new co-stars have been quite busy ever since they started production a couple of weeks ago, and NCIS franchise fans are loving the behind-the-scenes sneak peeks.

This time, Lachey posted a photo with her NCIS: Hawai’i co-star Jason Antoon on her Instagram story. In the photo, the two are doing high kicks. She shows off a pair of heels which definitely clash a bit with her tactical vest. Antoon is lifting his leg up high, but whatever pair shoes he’s wearing doesn’t quite make the shot. She also mentioned in the hashtags that they’re shooting at night.

While the photo, which is on her Instagram story, goes away after 24 hours, she’s also posted more permanent behind-the-scenes memories from her time on NCIS: Hawai’i.

Lachey Recently Praised The Creator of ‘NCIS: Hawai’i’ In Sweet Instagram Post

Lachey’s shown her gratitude throughout the entire process, and her recent photo with NCIS: Hawai’i creator Larry Teng is no exception.

“Top to bottom this cast and crew are exceptional! The Aloha spirit is taking us over and I can’t WAIT for you guys to see this show! I wish I can Thank EVERY person (and I will get to them over time), but first, I want to give a shout out to THIS guy! (And his diesel arms!),” she wrote. “Thank You LT for believing in me [from] day 1 and for bringing this character to life! ”

Teng has been careful with NCIS: Hawai’i, wanting to showcase a diverse cast and accurately represent the islands..

Vanessa Lachey will be The First Female Lead in the Franchise

Lachey is set to play Jane Tennant, the boss of the group. She’ll be the first female lead behind an NCIS series. Jane Tennant is a single mother working to balance her work life and her family life. Lachey couldn’t be more excited to tackle the role on NCIS: Hawai’i.

“I am the first female lead of the NCIS franchise and I don’t take that lightly. And I’m excited to bring a different layer to this role and hopefully inspire this next generation of young girls and women,” Lachey says in a promotional video. “My character Jane Tennant is the Special Agent in charge of NCIS. She is the mother of a 15-year-old boy and a nine-year-old girl and that is real life, juggling life and love and work.”

There’s no set premiere date yet for NCIS: Hawai’i, but fans can safely assume it’ll be a part of CBS’s 2021-2022 lineup. It’ll air in the fall, likely in September or October. Once it premieres, you’ll be able to catch it on Monday nights at 10 pm. It’ll follow after its flagship show, NCIS, in its new 9 pm slot.
