All summer, Vanessa’s posted incredible behind-the-scenes shots of filming for “NCIS.” But she’s also given us a taste of the Lacheys’ new life, now that they’ve moved out to Hawaii full-time. Earlier, we saw the fam enjoying the islands in Fourth of July snaps and island date nights.
From the looks of it, Vanessa and Nick just celebrated island date night part two.
Last night, the “NCIS” star posted a cute pic of Nick surrounded by several bottles of bourbon. Joining him in the pic was restauranteur Kevin Aoki, who runs 1938 Indochine.
“What a fun date night! Dinner at @1938indochine turned into tastings with @kevaoki,” Vanessa Lachey wrote earlier. “We had the most fun and I laughed sooo hard all night that my face hurts!”
Vanessa continued her caption with a direct reference to the Lacheys’ recent move. “I Love this island!!! The people, places, food & Aloha Spirit! Thank You, Baby for taking this ride with me! I couldn’t do it without you!”
Nick responded with a sweet and funny comment on Vanessa’s post. “I’ll take any ride that includes private barrel bourbon!! Great times……”
Aoki himself posted a photo of the couple at 1938 Indochine, on the restaurant’s Instagram page.
“So great to have Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo Lachey in for dinner at 1938 Indochine. You all know Nick from 98 Degrees and Vanessa is the new lead of NCIS Hawaii. Let’s welcome them and their ohana to their new home here on O’ahu!”
Vanessa Lachey Introduces ‘NCIS: Hawai’i’ Character
Time is ticking down until the “NCIS: Hawai’i” season premiere. And to get people excited about the show, Vanessa Lachey recently spoke to TV Insider about her character.
Special Agent-in-Charge Jane Tennant is the first woman to run the NCIS Pearl Harbor base. Similarly, Lachey will be the first woman to lead an “NCIS” show. While Tennant oversees her 40 agents, she’ll face some workplace difficulties.
“She’s making it work in a man’s world, and she doesn’t take no for an answer,” Lachey explained. “She finds her way into every opportunity she gets and comes out on the other end unscathed. At the same time, she’s human and she’s learning how to juggle her emotions and being a mother.”
Lachey describes Tennant as a “badass with a warm heart.” She’s also not the kind to “bark orders and sit at her desk,” Lachey said. “She gets her hands dirty.”
We’ll be able to meet Tennant for ourselves when “NCIS: Hawai’i” premieres on Monday, Sept. 20.
