On the new “NCIS: Los Angeles” episode, Callen is still looking for Katya. You’d think he’d know that if a Russian spy doesn’t want to be found, she will never be found. But, there has to be some hope that he’ll get her eventually; if only so the arc can play out and the show can focus on other things.

Katya is clearly unhinged, and she’s targeting Callen for who knows what reason. It likely has to do with his girlfriend Anna Kolcheck and her ties to the Russian government. In season 12, Katya got ahold of another of Callen’s girlfriends, ex Joelle Taylor. The arc ended with Joelle disfigured from Katya’s torture.

Katya has escaped the clutches of the Russian government, and easily sidestepped Callen and his attempts to find her. Could things just get more and more complicated the longer Katya is at large?

Callen sent Zasha to search for Katya, but so far that has turned up nothing. Tonight’s episode promises a continuation of that search, and maybe some closure? There doesn’t seem to be a resolution in sight for the Katya arc, though. We’ll just have to let this one play itself out and see where it goes.

Callen and Kensi Trapped in New ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ Episode

In a new clip from the latest episode of “NCIS: Los Angeles,” Callen and Kensi are cornered by possible gun smugglers while driving a hearse, of all things. It looks like there’s some mild undercover work from the team.

The episode is titled “Sorry For Your Loss”; in the episode, the team’s primary suspect is found dead and they’re at a loss for what to do next.

The “NCIS: Los Angeles” team has been searching for a band of gun smugglers for the past few episodes, and looking to recover a shipment of stolen guns. In the previous episode, the team found out that Kilbride’s old friend, a retired colonel, was the one selling guns to the militia. The militia ended up killing ATF agents with those stolen guns.

Trust in Kilbride was shaken, especially in Sam. But, Kilbride seemed to earn some of that trust back when he went ahead of the team and arrested his friend. He had the guy in handcuffs when Sam and Callen arrived, restoring a fragile understanding between the agents and their boss.

It’s possible this arc will continue through most of the season; the agents and Kilbride are going to have to face some devastating events and tough choices coming up. Will they ever find the stolen guns? And what about Katya? Will Callen ever find her and get his revenge for Joelle? Will we ever find out what Katya is doing in the first place? So many questions; we’ll just have to continue to tune in to “NCIS: Los Angeles.”
