‘NCIS: Los Angeles’: Chris O’Donnell Reveals That Cast Members Follow Fan Theories about Show

Fans have a pretty special talent for coming up with some often outlandish theories related to their favorite shows. Sometimes those theories even have a way of becoming reality.

These comments and theories exist throughout social media accounts, usually as a reply to the show’s organic content. The question is — does anyone pay attention to these fan theories besides the fans themselves?

Chris O’Donnell and ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ Fan Theories

Chris O’Donnell, who plays Agent G. Callen on “NCIS: Los Angeles,” once revealed how closely he follows these theories. “You know it’s funny, I don’t pay a ton of attention to it. Some of the castmates do and the writers definitely pay attention to it and the producers,” he said during an interview with ET Canada in February.

Although he doesn’t, it’s huge that writers and producers are willing to take fans’ ideas into consideration. Not only could fans come up with stellar storylines, but oftentimes these chats on social media reveal fans’ overall feelings toward “NCIS: Los Angeles.”

At the end of the day, O’Donnell’s main focus is putting on a good performance as his character.

“I’ll see occasionally things on Instagram, but I don’t tend to read comments or do deep dives into chat rooms and that sort of thing. For me it’s a different world, it’s what I do, it’s my work. I go in and focus on playing the character that I’m playing and trying to understand the world that he’s in. I don’t think about the consequences of that at the time or how it’s going to impact fans and what their reactions are going to be,” O’Donnell said during the interview.

As for the future of “NCIS: Los Angeles,” there’s a brand new season premiering this Sunday, October 10. Season 13 is kicking off with an episode titled “Subject 17” at 8 p.m. on CBS.

Fan Theory About Kensi and Deeks

During the premiere, fans will again get thrown into the work and lives of Callen, Hetty, Kensi, Deeks, and all the other characters over on “NCIS: Los Angeles.”

The show has one of the fan-favorite couples to exist on any of the “NCIS” franchise series. Kensi and Deeks are a married couple on the show. Recently, we’ve watched their journey into trying to start a family. Kensi found out she was infertile, so the two are now considering adoption instead.

Over on “NCIS: Los Angeles” the characters suffer from plenty of threats from evil people and all-around near-death situations. Some fans are theorizing over a potential bad guy that can swoop in and ruin their family plans. David Kessler is the notorious sociopath from last season and he’s now on the loose again after getting a Presidential pardon.

Kensi and Deeks will have to consider if their lives are just too dangerous to add a kid into the mix. Clearly, Kessler has some pretty serious connections and may be out for revenge.

We’ll learn more about Kensi and Deeks and their growing family this weekend. It’s possible these fan theories will strike close to home.
