We’re heading into the weekend and the NCIS: Los Angeles Instagram account just congratulated fans for knocking out the week. It’s a photo of Medaion Rahimi playing Fatima Namazi in boxing gloves.

“Congratulations on knocking out this week, #NCISLA fam. Let’s make this weekend count,” the caption says.

Medalion Rahimi made sure to spread some love to fans of the hit series in the comments.

“Happy Friday ya’ll ! Hope everyone gets the rest and relaxation they so deeply deserve,” she wrote. Rahimi has been on the show since 2019 and has made a pretty big impression. Though there are some fans that’ll always favor the characters that have been on the show since the start, Fatima Namazi is definitely an important member of the NCIS: Los Angeles crew.

‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ Season 13 is Currently in Production

Rahimi and the rest of the NCIS: Los Angeles cast are filming for season 13 right now. Members of the cast have been posting fun photos and videos from the set. Rahimi recently posted a hilarious video of herself sitting at Hetty’s desk joking that “a girl can dream” about taking Hetty’s job. Daniela Ruah and Eric Christian Olsen have also posted a ton of fun photos from behind the scenes.

The only people not returning this year are Barret Foa and Renee Felice Smith, who left the show to pursue other creative projects.

Linda Hunt, meanwhile, will reprise her role as Hetty. Hunt was mostly absent from season 12, causing fans to worry about her future on the show. But Hunt was only gone for COVID-19 related precautions and is happily returning to the scene for next season.

“I think that as tough as last year was, for a lot of reasons, she, like the rest of us, is starting to see a little light at the end of the tunnel and feels good about coming back to work,” showrunner R. Scott Gemmil told TV Line about Linda Hunt’s return.

“The minute I saw her, she’s like, ‘Let’s talk about next season’,” the showrunner said. And when it comes to explaining Hetty’s absence, the writer’s room wants it to make sense on the show.

“Obviously, Hetty was away, but we want there to be a real reason, and we’ll probably revisit that next season,” Gemmil teased.

On top of addressing Hetty’s absence, season 13 should revisit plenty of plotlines with the other characters such as Deeks and Kensi’s desire to have a child.

NCIS: Los Angeles season 13 airs on Sunday, October 10th. If you are a fan of the other series in the franchise, then you can tune into NCIS on Monday, September 20th. Also on the 20th, the brand new NCIS: Hawai’i will premiere right after NCIS.
