Take one glance at this photo of Daniela Ruah, star of NCIS: Los Angeles. She’s giving us the perfect, yay-it’s-the-weekend look of contentment.
The NCIS: Los Angeles Instagram account dropped a Ruah snap to remind us its Friday. Ruah is reclining on a comfy chair. The caption? “Sitting at your desk knowing it’s almost the weekend like.. NCISLA.”
NCIS: Los Angeles Star Looks Ready to Chill
Ruah, who plays Kenzi on NCIS: Los Angeles, looks like she’s ready for a chilled glass of sparking rose, maybe a mug of her favorite summer ale. We’re feeling a Pacific breeze and some sand between our toes because we know where Ruah probably is headed.
Then again, maybe Ruah is trying to escape the heat by chilling inside with the AC. She posted about some intense summer heat that hit the Los Angeles area earlier in the week.
“What do you do when it’s 107 [degrees] outside?” the NCIS: Los Angeles fan favorite asked her Instagram followers. “You make your kids stack veggies for ratatouille to keep ’em busy. First time and turned out DELICIOUS.”
Eric Christian Olsen, who plays Marty Deeks, her husband on the show and her real-life brother-in-law, stopped by her account to drop a comment. He posted “Or just move to Malibu?” Stacking veggies in the kitchen sounds far cheaper than moving to Malibu.
Ruah also dropped some behind-the-scenes hints about NCIS: Los Angeles. It probably won’t make sense until the show actually starts. But she posted a photo of herself with another actress, who appears to be splashed in fake blood.
“They say laughter is the best therapy,” Ruah wrote. “Working with this talented beauty today” And as she’s been known to do, Ruah translated her comment into Portuguese. After all, she grew up in that country and spend part of her summer there this year.
Show Started Production for Season 13 Last Month
NCIS: Los Angeles started production for season 13 in July. The premiere date is Oct. 10. The show kept its normal Sunday night time slot. However, CBS moved NCIS, the franchise OG, to Monday night. They want that show to help usher in NCIS: Hawai’i, which replaces the canceled New Orleans spinoff. NCIS dominated Tuesday nights for 18 years, so CBS definitely is taking a chance by moving the show opposite of Monday Night Football.
Ruah isn’t the only actress from the show to post some behind-the-scenes snaps. Madolion Rahimi, who plays Fatima, showed fans she was sitting at Hetty’s desk in a TikTok video. What’s that about? “A girl can dream,” Rahimi said. “NCISLA just testing it out…”
But let’s get back to the NCIS: Los Angeles post about the weekend.
One fan wrote: “Mood. Also, Oct. 10 can’t come fast enough.”
And another replied: “Deeks is lucky. The wait to get off work is more bearable thanks to the lovely view that is Kensi.”
