While “NCIS: Los Angeles” has recently undergone some cast shakeups, fans should expect to see many familiar faces in Season 13.

Both Chris O’Donnell and LL Cool J will once again lead the series. “NCIS: Los Angeles” has got much mileage based upon their buddy-cop chemistry. O’Donnell plays G. Callen on the show, and LL Cool J portrays Sam Hanna in the series.

The duo has been at the forefront of “NCIS: Los Angeles” from the very beginning. They first appeared on the backdoor pilot on parent show “NCIS.”

Before appearing on the show, O’Donnell was primarily known for his action films and guest-starring on shows like “Grey’s Anatomy” for instance. Meanwhile, LL Cool J had a highly successful career as a rapper before pivoting into acting. So who else will be joining them?

Daniela Rush is also back as Kensi Blye. She’s been on the show since the very beginning in 2009. Medalion Rahimi is expected to return as Fatima Namazi. Likewise, Eric Christian Olsen is returning as everyone’s favorite Marty Deeks as well. Deeks first joined the show during Season Two and quickly established himself as a fan favorite on “NCIS: Los Angeles.”

Linda Hunt Returns to ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’

The big question of Season 13 was if Linda Hunt was returning as Hetty on the show. For much of Season 12, the actor was absent from the proceedings. Hunt, and her dynamics with the others, has been a big part of the show’s success. For 12 seasons, Hetty has been “NCIS: Los Angeles” fearless leader.

Linda Hunt took a step back from the “NCIS” franchise this past season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She as at an elevated risk for the virus. As a result, fans spent the better part of the season without Hetty. But recently, “NCIS” confirmed that Hetty would be back for the next season.

With both Nell Jones (Renee Felice Smith) and Eric Beale (Barrett Foa) leaving the show, “NCIS: Los Angeles” has room to add some new characters to the fold. For one, they’re promoting Gerald McRaney’s Ret. Admiral Hollis Kilbride to the main cast.

McRaney has been a part of the show for several seasons. But more recently, he started making more regular appearances. It’s an addition that makes sense both within the show and production-wise.

“When you have an actor of Gerald McRaney’s caliber, you do everything you can to make sure you get him as often as possible,” “NCIS” Executive Producer, R. Scott Gemmill said. “Admiral Kilbride has been an esteemed part of our universe for seven years now and we look forward to viewers seeing him come in and shake up our ‘NCIS: LA world.’”

It remains to be seen who else the show adds.
