‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ Fans Are Going Nuts Over New Video Ahead of Sunday’s Premiere

Less than three days, “NCIS: Los Angeles” fans. The Season 13 premiere is right around the corner, and there is plenty to get us excited for the action. However, a few questions remain, like how will the show replace Eric (Barrett Foa) and Nell (Renée Felice Smith)?

Fortunately, we don’t have to wonder if the crew is hard at work on the upcoming season, thanks to an Instagram video shared by the official “NCIS: Los Angeles” account. Fans can hardly contain themselves.

The actors behind the show’s favorite couple gave fans a sneak peek of the set, reassuring them that new episodes are on the way. Daniela Ruah has been playing Kensi Blye since the show began in 2009. A year later, Eric Christian Olsen joined the show as Marty Deeks. Fast forward 10 years, and the characters are happily married.

The Instagram video finds Olsen and Ruah speaking directly to “NCIS: Los Angeles” fans from the show’s set. Naturally, the fans are feeling all types of ways ahead of the season premiere.

“So ready! 3 days seemed so long. So excited to see everyone esp Kensi & Deeks,” one fan commented on the post.

“I am very excited and ready for nail biting suspense in every second of the first episode,” another added, clearly heading into Season 13 with high expectations.

Not everyone is positively channeling their excitement, however. Some are worried about the future of the show.

“Anxious to see how you replace Nell and Eric. They were my favorites…” a worried fan wrote.

‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ Couple Looking To Grow Their Family

At least one of these upcoming episodes will dive into the relationship dynamics between Deeks and Blye. The couple has been toying with the idea of expanding their family. Fans were excited by the prospect of them potentially deciding to adopt, but even that poses some serious challenges.

According to R. Scott Gemmill, the showrunner and a writer for “NCIS: Los Angeles,” Deeks and Blye having kids is easier said than done. He talked to TV Line about the situation back in June.

“That’s been a big dilemma for us as writers, because you don’t want to do something that makes your characters look negligent. Would it be a wise decision to have a child when both of you are putting your lives in jeopardy every day? That’s a legitimate concern for the two of them, and something that we will have to explore as we move forward,” said Gemmill.

Per Gemmill, the way the couple grows their family doesn’t make much of a difference to their dilemma.

“Whether Kensi is able to get pregnant or whether it’s going to be an adoption, that’s a tricky one because you want them to be happy, but you also don’t want them to look irresponsible,” he continued.
