NCIS: Los Angeles” star LL Cool J has had a long career as a celebrity, known as a rapper, actor, author, and fitness dedicant in addition to being a husband and father. However, despite major success throughout his life, Cool J has remained humble.

A CBS Watch! article previously revealed that the famous multi-talent comes from a positively reinforced matriarchal background. During a piece for a 2014 Watch! cover story, LL Cool J stated, “Early on, my mother would say things to me like, ‘You start messing around with cocaine and stuff, you won’t have a career.'” Way to keep it real, Mama.

Additionally, the actor said, there were nights “[he] would do sold-out concerts at Madison Square Garden with Run-DMC, and [he’d] come home and [his] grandmother would ask [him] to take the garbage out.”

A menial task, but one that keeps you grounded, I’m sure.

Overall, he said that both women helped him to remain grounded among the heights of fame. Watch! concluded that LL Cool J hopes to pass on those same values and lessons to his own children.

LL Cool Jay Just Performed In a NYC Concert

Speaking of LL Cool Jay’s New York concert performances, the star actually just jammed out at the “We Love NYC: The Homecoming Concert” Saturday night. While “NCIS” fans know the King of Cool from the CBS hit show, he’s also famous for his iconic hip-hop hit, “Mama Said Knock You Out.” Apparently, Cool J’s mama isn’t one to solely preach humility.

The artist-turned-actor then threw it back with Rev Run performing the hit song, “It’s Tricky.”

According to a CNN Entertainment article, The Homecoming Concert took place on the Great Lawn in Central Park. What made the event even more remarkable is that the artists performed in front of a crowd of 60,000 vaccinated individuals. The article further said the concert was “a celebration of New York City’s comeback” following 18 months or so of life without live music and entertainment as a result of the coronavirus.

The ‘NCIS’ Franchise Adds Another Spin-Off

While LL Cool J, takes a minute to unwind from the excitement of Saturday night’s concert, we look forward to his return to the set of “NCIS: Los Angeles” this fall. Season 13 of the hit show premieres Sunday, October 10th as other CBS hit shows prepare to take the floor as of September 20th. “NCIS: Los Angeles” season 13’s premiere will be preceded by the season 19 premiere of the OG “NCIS” taking place on September 20th.

However, while the earlier spin-off of “NCIS,” “NCIS: New Orleans,” saw its end after only 7 seasons, this fall welcomes its newest spin-off.

This fall, “NCIS” fans can look forward to warmer days spent with the cast of “NCIS: Hawai’i.” Overall, alongside LL Cool Jay, this fall seems to be introducing a lot of new faces and plots and Outsider for one can’t wait to see how things play out.
