NCIS: Los Angeles is preparing its fans for more Admiral Kilbride next season with a hilarious clip of his previous “Kilbrideisms” on the show. The funny new clip is a great reminder to fans that this season is going to be great with Kilbride actor Gerald McRaney on board as a regular this time around.

Fans are stoked to see more of Gerald McRaney and Kilbride’s hilarious digs.

“Marvelous- how come we didn’t have a Kilbridictionary around yet?” one fan wrote.

“I have ALWAYS been a huge fan of Gerald McRaney!!! ALWAYS!!!” another fan wrote.

“love him!” a fan commented. “[He gives] the show something extra.”

Gerald McRaney has been promoted to a series regular following the departure of Renee Felice Smith who played Nell and Barret Foa who played Eric. The season 12 finale saw the two leave their lives with NCIS: Los Angeles behind and move to Tokyo to pursue their dreams. Both actors left for their own creative pursuits, and while it’s sad to see them go, Gerald McRaney will make a very fun addition to season 13.

Showrunner R. Scott Gemmill definitely sees it that way.

“When you have an actor of Gerald McRaney’s caliber, you do everything you can to make sure you get him as often as possible,” the executive producer told Deadline. “Admiral Kilbride has been an esteemed part of our universe for seven years now and we look forward to viewers seeing him come in and shake up our NCIS: LA world.”

Hetty Actress Linda Hunt Will Return for ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ Season 13

The fun doesn’t stop with Gerald McRaney becoming a regular, either. Hetty actress Linda hunt is coming back into the fold after being mostly absent from season 12. Her absence during season 12 had fans worried about her future on the show, but it turns out it was just because of COVID precautions.

Hunt is the senior member of the cast and was, therefore, more at risk from catching the virus. Thankfully, things are a bit safer for her this year.

Now, as Hunt returns, the writer’s room will work to explain Hetty’s absence from the series. And hilariously, there’ll be plenty more moments between herself and Kilbride.

“They’re both very smart and very stubborn, so it makes for a fun and volatile dynamic,” Showrunner R. Scott Gemmill told TV Line. “Kilbride outranks Hetty, but he does respect her, even if he disagrees with her methodology and [sometimes] questions the cost of her successes.”

If you’re excited to catch the next season of NCIS: Los Angeles, you don’t have much longer to wait. The new season airs on Sunday, October 10th on CBS.
